Miley Cyrus goes back to the 80s on the cover of her long-awaited new solo album, Bangerz. Hitting Twitter and Instgram late Saturday night, the pop sensation unveiled the artwork for her October 8 release. “You know the vintage YSL don’t stay on for long #bangerz #october8,” tweeted Miley, as the artwork looks to have drawn inspiration from the 80s action-packed television show Miami Vice. Cyrus poses in a shot black trench coat among palm trees as the title Bangerz lights up in fluorescent pink.

Set to perform her lead single “We Can’t Stop” at the MTV VMA’s on Sunday night, the man behind the song Mike Will Made It stopped by Sway’s Universe on Friday. The hitmaker gave a preview of Miley’s rapping verse on his new single “23” which also features Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa. The record is set to debut on Monday, August 25, the same day a video is set to be shot in Brooklyn, New York.
