Miguel changes the pace once again for the latest video from Kaleidoscope Dreams . In his black & white set, the crooner tackles social and world issues with glimpses of poverty, drugs, war and more. I like how he flipped Mayfield’s lyrics on this one. Directed by Sarah McColgan.
“It’s so easy to ignore what’s right in front of us sometimes. I wanted to create a song and visual that addressed my everyday concerns of life as I know it in the world that we live in,” says Miguel of “Candle in the Sun.”
Watch “Candles In The Sun” after the jump…

When I first heard this song I thought it had the same vibe as Prince’s “Money Don’t Matter Tonight” and “Sign O the Times”. So glad he did a video for this. This is one of my favorites on the album.
