I would suggest putting them inside of an old pillowcase and tying a knot in the case and then putting them in your wash machine. Putting them inside the pillowcase reduces the noise level and keeps the shoe laces from becoming tangled in your machine. You can use any type of detergent (not bleach), I suggest Tide for the best results. Depending on how dirty they are you may want to add some detergent to them prior to putting them in the pillowcase/washer and let them presoak for a bit.

so i want to give it up to kenny ortega, kev urlich (i think. the grammy dude), aeg people, staples, the city of la, the fans, the family, the participants for giving him a decent memorial and none of this fake, disappointing thing (ehem bet). so it was actually mostly legit even with the controversy over the girl and what not. my dad kept telling marlon to shut up and get off the stage for breaking down (i don't know why but like i said my dad is old. lol. he's only a couple years older than mj though. man. can't believe dude gave in to the shit). i bawled with brooke shields, j hud, mariah (please...her voice is just smh...what happeend to her) and trey, usehr (ugh without him breaking down like that and that classic sunglasses whip), GOTTA GIVE IT UP TO JERMAINE AND STEVIE MAN!!!!, lionel, shaheen, all the back up singers the old ones who's been singing for him for a long time and the new ones, the dancers for the tour, the band, gosh, oh maya angelou's lovely poem, smokey (love him), and i think that's it. al sharpton gave a good speech too, but of course he being he, couldn't resist...and of course people didn't get what he meant by his comments but what can you say, some people just don't use their brains and think about stuff but instead like to go back on old arguments/old talking points and rehash shit. he didn't mean that mj was the only first for all black people, but that he was one of many firsts for black people, and even the nba dudes (loved mj's speech. lol @ kfc vs grilled chicken) cosigned that sentiment, atleast mj did. uhm what else...i liked the montages, very appropriate though, lots of different sources and whoever put it together did a good job especially with the music. big thanks to katherine, randy and whoever else from the family had input. i love shaheen (lol @ barry gordy not knowing who he is), but i think i love mj's rendition more, or even smokey's. lol. uhm i liked barry's speech but felt like i didn't need a recanting of everything, but oh well gotta respect my elders and the past/what came before. i'm glad they did this for us, but me personally i think i could have done without this. it was nice to see everyone remember him in a good light mostly, but also him as a whole person, which he was, good and bad, and that the media spent most of the day covering this mostly in a positive light although there was lots of horrible news happening all over the world. oh well. that's how the news is shaped nowadays. i mean how many soldiers died that day. but people wouldn't know about that then would they since most coverage was all about mj. i mean he was/is the greatest, ever, so i guess it's deserved. i don't know though. we recorded the whole thing vhs, twice lol from various tv stations. we got all the news coverages and everything. we got old classic videos. we watched it from when it started i guess around 12 or 1 pm to 1 am or 2 am in the morning and got all the repeats. then i dug up my dad's original thriller vinyl so i can claim it upon my dad's death and i know my bro stole my dad's off the wall vinyl...so that was my whole mj day. gosh. people are really lucky to have grown up in the the of motown and all this music...even if like marsalis said it wasn't all classic gospel music but selling sex, but it's business. sexy music/music about love and life is all the same. it doesn't have to be spiritual to connect to the soul all the time. so like i said to my dad, what do us youngsters have to live up to in terms of our great musicians...and this always gives me pause because i don't think there's anything/anyone out there who i love as much as artists from the past. it's sad. it shouldn't be the next anything. it should be who is the future of music, who's the future hendrix, the future marley, the future clinton, mj, etc...who's gonna break that new ground. it's all so sad. i wish i could see into the future and reassure myself...but that's just greedy. i'm sure there are tonnes of people who are creating waves already even if i am not aware of them, but i will find them beingn the music lover that i am. thank you mj for being a part of the soundtrack to 3 generations of my family so that my parents could pass you on to me and my bros. thanks for sharing yourself with us. you were human too and that's how i will remember him. gosh. i can't believe he's dead. i keep thinking he's still alive. gah.

yeah my dad keeps saying the kids look black or whatever and that they share mj's nose...but as we all know mj's nose is fake and has gone under many reconstructions i just put that down to my pops being old and half blind and liking to believe what he wants. they look tanned...especially the girl, but they got no black in them and that's the truth there. the little kid lol doesn't look like them at all though. that family is lucky and needs lots of luck and love. goodluck to them and their future cause it's all a big mess. whatever. i guess love conquers all right.

because dude is kind of bipolar. he's a complex guy, like all people, and although he maintains that celebrity hasn't gone to his head, it has gone to his ego definately or he would be john mayer of old schlepping away to try and get into the music business. he should give soulja boy some advice about this because here's the dude who's so talented he can basically kill playing guitar and has decent vocal skills if not the dynamic range, but definite range with his vocal type, but at the same time it's like he doesn't want the trappings that come with the success. it's okay to be that way and say those things...but he's no kid, like souljah boy, and there are some things that he hasn't handled right, but he thinks he shouldn't be judged just because of his status, but as a normal human being. well he sought out that fame, even if all he wanted to do initially was play music. he's no stupid guy. there are traps everywhere and sometimes he gets caught up in the game. he needs to stop thinking that being a douch is funny and maybe man the hell up. i mean i am greatful for his talent, and i guess in order for me to to that i have to appreciate the dude and thank god for putting him on the earth and spreading/sharing himself through his music...but at the same time i can't help not wanting to dislike the dude because he seems humble but appears so smug, and that pisses me off. but what does he care. i'm no one to him really. w/e. he's joking to himself if he doesn't just accept the beast of art and life and just move on from that. he doesn't need to play the game the way he is. he could be smarter about the way he conducts himself sometimes too, but he's only human. he's no idol, and he definately needs a couple more years/decades under his belt to build a legacy. does he give back at all or do any charity work...i wouldn't know.

lol. no they didn't. he said that on larry kig afterword. anyways i think the whole thing was definately good and not what i expected which means i wasn't hugely disappointed. there was just some moments i wish wasn't so, but it wasn't and isn't up to me. it wouldn't change nothing really because he's still dead. i agree with info about the same thing. i know mj like jm though because i saw him in an interview saying that, and i know that jm is a good guitar player and i'm glad he got human nature. i'm also glad he kept his mouth shut (even if he did say some good things on larry king live) and didn't try to sing the song to do mj justice. he did it his own way and i appreciate that.

stevie's was the best for me...he was ignored all day, but he did the best tribute. Echo any disgust about the BET "tribute" that was really sad, but what else do you expect from a channel that couldn't even muster the energy or talent to really tackle the obama campaign or election...
