Method Man may not be as prolific in music as he once was, but I’ll always be checking for new Johnny Blaze (sidebar: he and Black Thought killed it as pimps in The Deuce). If you also belong in that minority, good news because Mef has announced a new album called Meth Lab II: The Lithium, the sequel to his 2015 solo album Staten Island compilation.

On the project’s first single, Meth links up with fellow ’90s New York giant Dame Grease (The LOX “If You Think I’m Jiggy,” DMX “Get At Me Dog”). “Grand Prix” is anything but a throwback, though; in fact, this sounds like it’s racing back to the future.
