Meek Mill’s ‘Dreams & Nightmares’ Set to Debut #2 on Album Charts

Hard work definitely pays off. After his street favorite Dreamchasers mixtape series, guest appearances, and worldwide tours, the hard work Meek Mill’s put in has finally paid off. The Philly MC’s Dreams & Nightmares album is set to debut at #2 on the Billboard charts when the final numbers are confirmed on Wednesday morning. According to HitsDailyDouble, the LP which features appearances from Rick Ross, Nas, Mary J. Blige, Drake and John Legend sold 169, 085 copies its first week.
Like Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city debut, Meek’s debut fell short of top spot to Taylor Swift’s newly released R.E.D. album. If you haven’t done so, purchase Dreams & Nightmares on iTunes and Amazon. Congrats to Meek Mill, Maybach Music Group and the Dreamchasers/Warner Bros. team.
Miss Info: According to industry reports, 12% of the music retailers in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut were closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of last week because of Hurricane Sandy. There are estimates that this cost Meek Mill another 40k in album sales.

even with the extra 40k that could’ve been had Sandy not came…for all the promo he got including MAJOR consigns any freshman album release would dream of…it’s a flop! quarter mill to 300 thou would’ve been more appropriate to match the buzz and hype! I didn’t think he’d do 50 or Drakes first album sales but damn this is has to be somewhat of a disappointment for his camp….Sandy or not
