Meek Mill collects another trophy in his career. The Philadelphia rapper’s new album, CHAMPIONSHIPS, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Serving as his first full-length LP since being released from prison in April, the album moved 229,000 equivalent album units opening week (42,000 in traditional album sales) according to Nielsen Music. It’s Meek’s second No. 1 album, following 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money. Along with the chart-topper, the MMG lyricist earned his highest-charting record on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, as “Going Bad” featuring Drake debuts at No. 6. His previous highest-charting song was 2015’s “All Eyes on You” with Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, which peaked at No. 21 on the Hot 100.

CHAMPIONSHIPS features appearances by JAY-Z, Cardi B, Rick Ross, Future, Young Thug, Kodak Black, 21 Savage and Ella Mai. The news comes hours after the 31-year-old dropped a music video for the album’s intro.
