New Music: Meek Mill “Started From The Bottom (Freestyle)”
Posted by Mikey Fresh under new music[4] Comments
Meek’s definitely one the rappers out there that can’t get enough Instagram. Today, he even rolled out his very own edition of the iphone app, Postargram. He also blessed downloaders with a new freestyle from his upcoming Dreamchasers 3 mixtape. Rocking over Drake’s abused “Started From The Bottom” instrumental, the Philly spitta drops some bars about his road to riches. The mixtape drops on May 5. (thanks to HipHopsince1987)
Listen to Meek’s freestyle after the jump…

No disrespect to Canada but how much crime and poverty does one hear coming out of Canada..No disrespect to Toronto, Canada but we can relate more to someone like Meek Mill covering this track…
Yes..i know artists enter this culture differently but dam, when one say they started from the bottom..
Hell, the bottom is the slums and sewage of poverty, not the middle class….

Toronto is just like any other city; they have their slums and drug problems too (I’ve visited there a few times). But I hear what you’re saying though. I think Drake – given his background as a child actor – isn’t what we envision as someone “starting from the bottom.” Meek Mill is who we can better identify with in that regard. But putting Drake aside, Toronto has it’s problems just like any other city.

Yall sound stunted. No disrespect. But talk to someone who worked 12 hrs a day at McDonalds or Walgreens, and see if they don’t feel like they at the bottom. The Slums don’t have a lock on feeling like shit on a day to day basis. If you going by that logic, my cousins in the Nigeria live in the real slums, and Y’all slums is middle upper class! No disrespect, but heads just be on some “you aint poor, I’m poor!” shit. You got a computer and internet. YOU AIN’T at the Bottom!!

Drakes not saying he was a drug dealer but his mom lived in a middle class neighborhood yes. Degrassi ain’t really no real money he didn’t have a dad. Now that he’s rich and famous his dad wants to play “dad” again and every million he gains a enemy or a cousin…. It’s hard making it from the bottom of the industry to mainstream artist… Started…. From the bottom okay he saying he work hard for his success so no say they made him…. And his moms was hardly effort ing rich so he went thru hard times …..
