This week has not been good for Meek Mill. After internal issues within his MMG label, Philadelphia’s FOX 29 reports the hometown rapper has been sentenced to serve jail time.

Reported on Twitter, the 27-year-old rapper whose real name is Robert Williams, has been ordered to serve three to six months in county jail. The local District Attorney has stated to be worried about Meek Mill’s behavior while he is currently on probation.

In the past, Meek has expressed frustration dealing with probation, stemming from a gun charge in a 2008. Karen Civil reports the Philly MC will only serve anywhere from three to four weeks in jail.

UPDATE: NBC Philadelphia reveals more details behind Meek’s sentencing. According to Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney Noel Ann DeSantis, the rapper has violated parole several times by missing meetings with his appointed parole officer. Also, recent statements made on his Twitter account directed to the probation department, and more.

“His twitter accounts being derogatory to the probation department and this DA and others in the court system,” said Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney Noel Ann DeSantis, who said he also missed meetings with his parole officer.”
