His debut is out today, but who’s the man behind the ear-catching fast spitting voice? Meek Mill opens up in the documentary Dreams & Nightmares. Speaking 1-on-1 with Shaheem Reid, the Philly MC explains the process to recording his newly released album. Music aside, he goes in detail about his past troubles, struggles growing up in South Philly, being a victim of violence, jail, his family, and specifically the death of his father. From the struggle comes success, the feature chronicles the rise of Meek and signing to MMG turning him into a bonified upcoming star.

i jus wanna say to meek mills on what he talkin about on traumatize i lost my daddy when i was 5 years old which fucked my life up he got poison by some chic but i just wanna ask meek if he nigga tryng to rob him if he wouldnt do the same shit that nigga did to his daddy you know but im sorry his dad was in the wrong tryng to rob this other nigga he did what he had to do real talk.
