No matter what people say… This song is crazy disrespectful to the Church and Christianity as a whole.
I know I look at things from a different stance than most and I want you to understand, I am not going to be quoting any Bible scriptures because that’s not what this is about…. Its not even about overt symbolism in the video either. Its what’s in your face.
“First of all I would like to thank God for all the beautiful women he let into my life and all the benjamins he allowed me to count” (Meek said on the radio in that argument with the pastor that he doesn’t believe in God and all that)
The hook goes…..
Now there’s a lot of bad bitches in the building (Amen)
A couple real niggas in the building (Amen)
I’m finna kill niggas in the building (Amen)
I tell the waiter fifty bottles and she tell me say when
And I say church (Preach)
We make it light up like a church (Preach)
She wanna fuck and I say church (Preach)
Do Liv on Sunday like a church (Preach)
In his hook he virtually disrespects the church in any way that he can. Highlights that there are “bad bitches” in da building, mentions killing niggaz real quick, “she wanna fuck and I say church”?!?!?, “do liv on Sunday like a church” all followed up by an “Amen” or a “Preach”? Lol
Then sprinkle in other commonly known church/biblical terms like Holy Ghost in your verse but don’t finish before mentioning “keep a secret, illuminati”, just so that we can have a song tear down the church and big up the illuminati right after, no biggie right, all in a days work. Followed by a 2nd verse of “Devil in a dress but if she knock I let her in
And if she knock I let her in”, then “I’m screaming Oh Lord, that pussy good, that pussy good
I’m tryna hold on”, I’m just saying, let’s be serious here lol.
You don’t have to be a Christian to see the disrespect. The music industry on a whole doesn’t spend anytime tearing down other religions as much as they do Christianity and that is why when people jump on it and down play God I find it interesting because you may not care about God, Christ, nothing but the industry on a whole obviously does which is why he is mentioned in lyrics more than ever at this point and its usually lyrics driven against Christ or what he stands for….
Kanye West and GOOD Music…. “Mercy”, looking at a title like that it could have been about Mercy of some kind but no its more about a Mercialago and the girl that’s “tryna jerk me”, could they have named the song “Mercie”, yes but they didn’t…
Rick Ross’ album title is God Forgives, I Don’t. I don’t need to say anything…
LOL everybody can make an excuse about all these things being a play on words, I won’t disagree… It all is a play on words and words are very powerful, words backed by a melody and music are even more powerful. Its the fact that they chose those words to play with out of so many others that rings my point home, the recording industry and record labels have an agenda against Christianity and its not that hard to see…
I am not telling anybody they need to pick a side or that anybody is going to hell or about who is in the illuminati or not, that’s a pointless conversation, all I am saying is pay attention. Nothing your seeing or hearing is by accident or chance, it was crafted to be that way. Pay attention….

Now listen here I dont why people are turning on meek for, Us as black people and as community never wanna see our own do well and your a prime example, First off your kanye west mercy speech you need to actually listen to the song or do more research, Its lamborghini “Mercy” as in mercedes.
Next Rick Ross is only saying how it is, you go to church god for me for my sins he does it you believe it but ross is saying hes not god so he dont forgive I.E. If curtis “50 cent” jackson was to bring hes ass around to ross to squash there beef and asks for some MMG features I only hope ross would slam this album cover in hes face.
Now Meek is a young brother like myself who have also been to prison its not a nice place or a place to bragg about that youve been hes doin something positve in hes life because once your in the system its easy to go back or he could be gang banging or dealing.
Music is art hate it or love it he is a artist and whatever picture hes lyrics paints its up to you to press play or not.
This whole meek stuff is only coz hes current AMEN

I still dig the sung from my man meek mill. At the end the end of the day it is not a sin. Ya’ll don’t get out there and give back as the man stated. He get money take care his family and give back to the hood. A lot of our hip hop artists do so. He black and that’s why it is so much controversy. Regardless of how he states amen and preach he is definitely giving honor to god I never knew it was a right or wrong way to thank god for what he has blessed you with to survive. Y’all are tripping and are very judgmental and in that is a sin. Amen! Preach!

I agree it’s because he’s black they made a big deal about it. And he can’t really be in the illuminati because they don’t even like black people he would b at the bottom of pyramid. Do you really think a person would do that fa a few extra dollars. Jay z on da other hand was secsecful because he gt his on labell, talent ect. Da song amen da truth tho I like it
