Since the release of her Friends & Lovers sophomore LP in 2014, singer/songwriter Marsha Ambrosius has kept a presence by guest appearing on records by Dr. Dre, Common, T.I., GoldLink, and King Los. Now a proud new mother to a baby girl with fiancée Dez Phillips, the Floetry songstress returns with a new record titled “Don’t Wake the Baby.” Produced by Dem Jointz, the song touches on the subject of make-up sex while the newborn is asleep.

I wrote it for Beyoncé,” says Marsha in an email to FADER, who premiered the song. “It’s my interpretation of still wanting to fuck after an argument with your spouse — just DON’T WAKE THE BABY!!! I’m a new parent and I barely sleep as it is. So if she’s sleep, BE QUIET!!! Shhhhhhh.”
