Mariah Carey shot the video for her veiled Eminem diss song “Obsessed” yesterday at the Plaza Hotel with director Brett Ratner and guest rapper Gucci Mane. Of course, everyone seeing these photos of MC are naturally assuming that she’s spoofing Em as a obsessed fan in his signature oversized sweats. Seeing as how Em has skewered many a celeb himself on video, turnaround is fair game, no?

I’ll tell you why it is not fair game. Mind you, this just my opinion. It is true that Eminem has had his “Yonkovich-esque” moments spoofing other celebrites. Sometimes light heartedly and sometimes down right malicious, but when Mariah was locked into the cross-hairs, everyone was “up in arms” i.e Nick Cannon, Busta Rhymes, etc., etc.
With that being said, I felt he kinda fell back and layed off of her…..no pun intended! Now, for Mariah to kinda counter-attack and re-hash the situation is sending a message that the “gloves are off!”
Em, is a master of character assassination (see Whitey Ford, Ja Rule, Canibus). Would it be right for him to strike back? Em should just release the sex tape and get it over with.
My point is she should’ve left the situation alone and not acknowledge it. I think she is trying to save face b/c she is married now!

No shit, if you ask me she is making herself look stupid, Em fell back, he made the song, he was asked about it after the comments Nick made, he said sorry like joking, he aint care, that was it, could have been left alone, she is the one making dumb ass songs, doing videos for it? WTF? And it dont even look like him, its just a way to diss him, cause we know its about him, without officially dissing him, did she call his name in the song? I dont know, did she? So she is dissing him, without really dissing him, she can say its not him, he dont have a beard etc, but we know its about him. If you ask me this is stupid, this is Nick Cannons idea to gain hype and buzz about her album and shit, beefing with Em, not only do a song back, but a single, and a video etc, thats Nicks dumb ass trying to create shit for her album, but it just looks stupid, if she could have gotten a look a like it might have worked, but she just looks fucking stupid.

Dont know if you heard this but the reason why Mariah is dressed like Em and not someone else is because they couldnt get anyone else to do it. They had casted Andy Sandberg in the video but when he found out he would be mocking Eminem he back out, along with some other un named peusdo celebs.

Notice that Eminem’s album barely went platinum like it usually does. It certainly didn’t go platinum in a week. In my opnion a lot of people have caught on to his bafoonery, and tend to pass the album over in retail stores. His album has not shown the selling power of previous albums, cause this is like the umpteenth chapter of the same ol’ story with this guy. Only his hardcore bass of fans(which are in the millions, so they will keep him afloat)buy his albums. New cats aren’t really checking for this guy. His hiatus was too long. Why? It’s not like this guy is Michael Jackson or something. I don’t see any big hooplah about his album in the media anymore, and didn’t it just come out like last month? Plus he got played out on Mtv award show. Oh, wait…he put Borat’s ass in his face on purpose….I forgot. Nuff of that. Mariah is a Diva PERIOD

WTF? His album is plat. He is washed up and cant do what he did before? WTF? WHo is even selling like that? kanyes last album did under 500k, Em did more than TI and Wayne that was a year ago, he did do a mill, but lets be clear, he was around on everyones song, Em took years off, he had support from every urban radio station, BET is his network, BET barely plays Em videos, he never gets noms from BET awards, performs etc. Urban radio dont play his shit, so thats a huge deal, plus his shit was TRL, which is gone, so there are big differences between them, Wayne got alot of buzz and hype and promo from BET and radio, Em got promo and hype cause he was gone for a while, but he did come back with a drug slasher killer album, not a typical club songs, chick songs, street songs album that is the norm, and yet he still did 600k US, is plat, was number 1 in like every country. He still aint even put another video out yet, so besides Wayne a year ago, which the economy is worse off now, Em sold more than anyone, Ti, Kanye, all get huge support from BET and radio, so how is he finished? He aint MJ? Who ever said he was? You know what he is though? The greatest rapper alive, voted that by XXL and Vibe, has a classic album, MMLP and I think Em Show as a classic also, has sold 70 million albums, more than everyone except Pac, but how many albums does he have compared to Em? A blockbuster hit movie, one of the best acting performances ever for a rapper, a huge soundtrack, a huge hit from the movie, one of the best songs ever I think hip hop wise, how many awards? Oh and an Oscar too, which he aint even care about, unlike 36 Mafia who actually went out with there Oscars, Em aint even show up for that shit. So for a rapper, he is a legend and one of the best ever, and how many other rappers can take 4 years off, come back wtih the kind of album he came with, the anti club songs, chick songs, street songs album that is what the normal hip hop album is, and still sell 600k first week and shit?

Maybe I havent heard the song all the way, but does she say his name? And since when does he have a beard? Its a way to diss him without officially dissing him. The song is wack, I dont think he will go into it with her, he said what he said and moved on, but this is just stupid. If she really wanted to go at him, call him by his name, dress with blond or dark hair, but no beard. This is a half assed diss, and its wack.

He ran out of material, he let us in to his life and had the hip hop world captivated. The great white hope! He still has all of his fan base (stans) and that is why he still managed to sell all of those records. Everyone pushed his album so please miss me with that he had no promotion bullshit lol.
