I bumped into Maino at lub Touch…true story though, he remind me of PAC…No because being thug out but because his sense of humor…I listen to the album, and makes me want to go work harder..he definitely real with it…yo Maino even if the album don’t reach 2 millions..just know that some people still listen to you..and it means a lot..word up..info what’s good

I agree with you…theres something about Maino that seems very genuine, real and relatable, and he does it w/o a bunch of hood publicity stunts, dvd’s and wild talk…Its extremely refreshing to c him do him and I hope he succeed, some ppl deserve it. I’m from brooklyn and i just don’t support this dude. I’m happy he made it but his music sucks. Not lyrical at all. Saids nothing that makes you say wow AT ALL. Since BIG to Jay to Fab even brooklyn has been known for lyrical M.C.’s and this dude is just a rapper.

what the hell are u fucking talking about his music has a story, he did somethin almost impossible, in da hood shit goes down u probably dont even have a fucking clue about, to come from being deep in the hood going to jail for 10 years for a drug related kidnapping… that happens everyday to people, his music makes since and it has a story with it…. cant u see that it has a story and he has done the impossible so dont trash him, he can rap and it does make lyrical since…. listen to all of the above then listen to scene 1 if tomorrow comes, back to life, remember my name, and here comes trouble… listen to the fucking lyrics they make rhythmical and lyrical since so dont trash maino u dick

Illmatic didnt sell a lot initially, but it was critically acclaimed- and Nas was a respected rapper in 94′, unlike Maino in 09. Reasonable doubt did sell relatively well by going Gold in the same year it was released.
Maino isnt slept on or underrated, hes just not that good according to most consumers and journalists.
