More items from this Sunday’s Death Row Records bankruptcy auction are emerging….including this ridiculous, nonsensical “painting” that Suge Knight had from those golden days of defaming Biggie and Puff during period before Tupac and B.I.G’s murders.

Ok, I can understand having Dr. Dre’s Source Awards and Snoop’s….but wasn’t there a brief time period when Suge was managing Mary J. Blige? I think yes.

I read somewhere that she hired Suge Knight as a financial adviser. I also read somewhere else that he signed her to Suge Management as a part time manager and consultant and that was around 94-95 after her “My Life” album dropped.

Mary probably used Suge the same way Dre. used Suge to get him out of his deal with Eazy. Hey Tupac used Suge to get him out of jail. Sometimes Suge is a really cool last resort. As for Karma, If karma is being tailed everywhere you go by LAPD an the CHP yeah it sure is . As for the Picture a lot of people out here probably bid on that shit. Seriously, the music industry is one circus full of pimps, hoes,loan sharks, embezzlers,extorters, I mean, you name it and they’ve got their foot in the game.
MJB was dealin w Suge and Dre for a while-Dre produced family affair and she sang the hook on at least one of his tracks. Suge prolly D-Bo’d her into signing that mgmt deal and wouldn’t give back her award.

hey missinfo, here some info regarding to that painting, it was meant to be used for the makaveli album as an insert to the booklet but was removed after pac died it was painted by Ronald “Riskie” Brent.

TG: He also had you do artwork for the cd booklet that was never used. What was his instructions for that one and why wasn’t it used?
Riskie: He was gonna diss a couple of people he felt betrayed him. That work u just have to see to believe. It never made the release. That album [Makaveli 7 Day Theory] was supposed to be a bootleg album but after 2pac died they made it a commercial release. Removing the insert.
TG: Pac approved the artwork before his death correct?
Riskie: Yes I took it to him myself the week before Vegas.
TG: What was the atmosphere in the office following Tupac’s murder?
Riskie: It still. Everything stopped moving. It was like being frozen with everything around you still moving. It was sad everybody was crying. We had all been sitting on the edge of our seats waiting to hear he was gonna be ok so when we got back from Vegas on Sunday so we got regular updates on his status and then the next Friday (the 13th) we got the news that he had passed. Everyone was crying, you had to be there, its hard to describe. I remember that was pay day and niggas didn’t wanna cash their checks that day.
TG: At the time of his death Death Row had plans to breach out onto the East with Death Row East. You were tapped for the logo, what did it look like and who thought it up?
Riskie: Suge told me what he had planned for Death Row East and that he needed a logo. When they said Death Row East the statue of liberty came to mind as the biggest landmark in New York so that’s why I went that way with it. The logo looked like the Death Row logo standing like the “Statue of Liberty”, but standing up out of the electric chair.
TG: What is your best memory of Pac?
Riskie: My best memory of 2pac was in the Can-Am recording studios where he performed “Against All Odds” off the Makaveli Album. It was so much different from what was really put out he had a lot more to say.

That was a dope interview with that artist that created the artwork for Pac and great information to my 2 Pac puzzle. I knew the artwork looked familiar when I saw the picture but couldn’t figure out why. Hearing him talk about the Makaveli artwork which I looked at over 100 times I can see the similarity. I would love to see that Deathrow East logo. When you think about all the success that Deathrow had what kind of contract did Suge have with Interscope that he’s broke today? Is there any black person in the music industry that didn’t get fukced? I guess if people keep fukcing people over when they come in cause they got fukced over, people won’t get educated and get better deals than the person before them. Each one teach one. Not jerk someone cause someone got over on you.

I’m big on concerts I’ve probably seen just about everyone a few times but I envy the Manhattan small club showcase atmosphere… The House of Blues on sunset get some good acts but there nothing like the east coast or like what you experienced at SOB’s the other night.. I remember seeing Jay-Z in the tunnel over 10yrs ago before he turned into a grown ass Steve Irkel what the @#$& is wrong with that guy? Damn l kinda miss NY!

It’s not Jimmy, or Dre., its Nas lol I know it burns your soul to think of God son bent over, but it is. The Makaveli Album only had disses,(shots) at Jay-z,Nas,and Mobb Deep. He mildly disses Dre. on Live in Die and LA. Plus at the time Nas was considered one of the best Mc’s and deemed his only competition. Jay-z wasn’t the Jay-z we know now, he was just starting out, Reasonable doubt had just dropped earlier that year. Who’s the white guy? It is Jimmy Lovine on the painting. Suge did have influence in the artwork as well. Back in 1996, Suge and Jimmy had a business fall out, it’s very well documented in Suge’s interviews, he spoke about it. Jimmy didn’t support Suge at the time and slowly distanced himself from death row, Jimmy backed up Dre to start Aftermath. N ultimately, it was a brilliant move by Jimmy to go with Dre.

As someone who has been in the business for 20+ years and in L A for 15 of those years I can tell you that was big,puff and dre in the painting. I saw the painting at the old row offices on wilshire and san vincente in beverly hills. Suge loved to tell ni@@as at the time that dr dre was gay and loved white gays and tvs. Karma would be the LAPD getting there just due in the assaination of big and countless other people of color.

No you idiots the people in the painting are Biggie, Puff, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. Suge always said that Dre was letting Iovine tell him what to do and basically called him Jimmy’s bitch. In case you didn’t know Jimmy Iovine is the guy that actually took a chance and got Dre a record company deal for Aftermath through Interscope. Suge is a hater and still talks b.s. about Dre to try to gain more publicity.
