Love & Hip Hop Exclusive: Olivia, Chrissy and Somaya Reece talk about their beef (Updated)

During my chat with the cast of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop,” it was very clear that in this gang of four, there are cliques. There’s Chrissy and Olivia vs. Somaya Reece. And Emily B. in the neutral zone, but leaning towards the Chrissy and Olivia camp. In the show’s first episode (which aired tonite on VH1), Chrissy is suspicious of Somaya (an aspiring “rapper”) for visiting her boyfriend Jim Jones in the studio. Conveniently, the castmembers meet for the first time in a reality-tv ambush in the bathroom of Club Amnesia….Any surprise that things get catty?
I asked the girls about the first episode beef between Chrissy and Somaya, and what Chrissy thinks about Somaya now. But even though the first season has long stopped shooting….it’s Olivia and Somaya are keeping their beef alive, lol.
Me: “Why do you think I had to interview you and Somaya separately?”
Olivia: “You can’t put an artist with a non-artist in the same room….When the cameras go off, it’s something else…they call a certain person’s manager and they’re crying and apologizing, like, ‘this is not what they wanted, I just want to be friends’…but you went on the camera like you were DMX just now.”
Me: “Do you appreciate her role as a villain?”
Olivia: “Yeah, but the way that [Somaya] did it, was just retarded.”
UPDATE:
After the episode aired, Olivia tweeted a disclaimer about her on-air claim that she was dating football star Darrell Revis…but that didn’t stop Revis for tweeted about her too….

Exactly! First of all, Chrissy is extremely insecure. Look at her though.. that big azz MOLE on her face, she is far from cute and she doesn’t have a job! Then in comes Somaya, with a beautiful exotic look, an aspiring artist, abt to work with Chrissy’s man.. Chrissy gets jealous!

I watched and enjoyed the show… I see it for what it is. I like Chrissy out of them all for the attitude. My question is outside of the men what do these women have in terms of education, careers or talents. Considering that minus Mashonda none of them are married it seems trivial in that regard. The young lady with Fab is clearly hurt and feeling some kind of way. I don’t fault him, I fault her for allowing his behavior. He’s no sex symbol so saying he got someone would not likely hurt his record sales.
I got my DVR set to record the shows, it should prove interesting indeed.

I dont care what anyone says.. Somaya Reece has a few screws loose. She promotes all this peace on her twitter page but acts different on the show and in interviews. How she handled that Joe Budden stuff also showed that..but both of them mofos crazy tho..

It had to be devastating. She fought for her family and trusted her husband. He cheated with a celebrity and now they are married and starting a family I would expect any woman who gave her all to get a bit wreckless after a divorce like that. She’s standing her ground though. I read her interview in Sista 2 Sista and I felt she attacked the issue not Swizz and Alicia. Its a sad situation but she handled it with class and dignity in my opinion.

it was OK. the cat scene in the club was a lil script-ish to me….talking about somaya’s shoes and outfit do grown women really do that. I dont and dont have any friends that do IJS!!! please someone tell me how old this footage is, i thought jim jones was already married geesshh!!!

I’m a fan of the show i personally have been following Somaya Reece 6yrs strong. personally Olivia was acting like she was tough. everyone falls down and gotta start from the bottom up like Somaya is doing.everyone has struggles. You cant no ones hustle. If you believe you can do it go head and strive.
As for the woman:what can you say all men from the music or entertainment business have all commitment issues. either they with it or they not.
instead of everyone disliking each other should help one another cause you never know when you might need them “frenemies” like they say out here.
its like Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj .i don’t think Olivia wanna be compared to that situation. just saying. But i hope Olivia does gets back her success as much as Somaya will be doing.

Wow. Chrissy is nuts. Somaya went to his studio – for a meeting… I mean, God, it’s not like she was in his bed. Chrissy should have asked about it rather than jumping the gun. What’s wrong with saying, “hi New Girl, let’s get to know you a bit.” Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Or just make friends and stop playing games because you’re jealous.

I watch the show and personally in *in my opinion i believe that chrissy is jealous. jim should of gave the chic a chance she pretty much jumped out the window moved to NY, went to Jim’s studio w/ confidence like check this, is sleeping on a mattress in the attic of a studio, try’na provide for her fam.. back home (not saying that other’s haven’t done the same) but RESPECT!!!!in. cause to me thats wassup sum1 comin outta nothin in the struggle showin the world cus she has the oppertunity to be on the show so is pretty much showin the world the struggle to come up in the the industry the hunger it takes….I respect her and I DON’T like NOR RESPECT JIMS WIFE or whateva? for bein a h8tr frm da door not even knowin the chic walkin by her sizein her up in da club, like how old are u really!?! so annoyed to the point i was a jim jones fan 45th all day …it’ll still be money makin manhatii always but i will neva purchase another jim who? album, single,i wont even utube da kid.. no download or listenin to his music eva eva eva again due to his h8tin wife who willingly admitted on the show she is the reason for jim not doin the track cus last time i memeber i WAS copin a jones album not a chrissy run production…!

I like this show olivia and somoya need to stop the bull and get over themselves about who is phony I personally feel these two women want to succeed and want to do better for themselves and what they both need to do is grow up they are looking stupid on tv. Chrissy I can not wait for her to propose to jim jones. I feel with that is retarded why propose to him if he is the one that needs to propose to you love seriously. I don’t think she is attractive at all with that mole on her face. Emily I see her pain and how she feels she tries so hard everyday and that life style is not easy but she strives to keep it together with fabulous. All I have to say about that is good luck mama and hopefully all will go well. i absolutely luv Chriisy. its nothing wrong with standing up for her man. sometimes we as women have to take charge because men dont want to come off mean or ignorant towards females. truth is Samaya is wack as hell. she cant sing/rap/dress & can barely even talk! jim may not be at the very top of the game but Chrissy was right “its not on the level”.. as far as Olivia, i like her better on last & todays episode vs other erpisodes. i felt that she was being to joe with Chrissy & she didnt have to be because Chrissy respects REAL! Now i think i feel that Olivia genuinly cares for Chrissy & maybe even see her as some type of role model. Maybe Chrissy has the back bone that Olivia would love to have (especially with her trying to “re brand” herself).. Emily is just a disgrace!!! Everything about her is fake. She just wants to be seen in any form of light & since Fab sure not giving it to her she’s using the show to do it. I thought i would like her, being a woman who knows & understand the game of alot of black men but that chic is just a phony.. shes a trouble maker that doesnt look like she would kill a fly & she doesnt even know who she is as a woman so how can she dare want ANY man to recognize or acknowledge her? Considering she has a pre-teen daughter, she is the one of them all that truly needs to get it together!!! I just commend Mashonda for getting thru her battle. I liked the reunion very much somoya she gained weight emily looks great olivia ok and chrissy she is ok.. But mole ugh. How everything went down about the beef with chrissy and somoya and about her career its ok to speak to your man about especially if he is an artist but at the end of the day he makes they choice if he wants to have her as an artist. Chrissy is jealous and very insecure with her man and its like first of all honey that is his “profession” let the man work and figure out if he wants her in or not second you should know your man by now like why all with the insecurities love come on grow up olivia and somoya this is about your career grow up ladies like you guys are all about business right then do. What you have to do and stop worrying about each other if you don’t like each other then do not be by each other and that’s it. Emily she is. Avery beautiful woman she is a stylist a mother and a faithful woman she needs to leave fab and do her life. I think all these ladies at the end of the day have something to learn about and know that they need to grow in certain areas so I can not wait for season 2 of love and hip hop let’s see if jim wants to marry the moley this time which I doubt lol!!!
