Ok, rather than post all of these tidbits in separate posts, I figure I’ll do a Monday catch-all….some of the more ridiculous, or awesome, or just notable things going on….
Yes, Katt Williams got arrested for “burglary and trespassing” down in Georgia. (Update: the homeowner said Katt broke in and stole jewelry) But more importantly….that mugshot on the left should make bail alone. Movin’ on…
Joe Budden has a pretty new girlfriend already. He and Somaya Reece webcammed. And when he joked that he had a “girl with money now” she cackled, and later said that she would “take care of her man.” Will these 2 continue the tradition of private in public? Meanwhile….
Joe’s ex, Tahiry, twitpic-ed this photo with 50 Cent while she was on set for Fif’s “Do You Think About Me” video, which he shot on Sunday with Chris Robinson. So no need to get in a tizzy. However, I’m pretty sure 50 loves the implications.

Joe Budden is a clown and remember I’m a Joe Budden fan!But now I think I will just download his shit and not actually buy it and support it!! I’m not feeling his moves….. He’s right on the cusp of being what I hope is what he always wanted to be and he’s being a clown and turning his situation into a sideshow.. Why take shots at Tahiry? She was a cool shorty! Gross! Unfortunately this type of self hate is a common thing in dominican culture the people there are obsessed with straight hair, light eyes, and light complection. You could be, well Sammy Sosa one of the most famous people to ever come from that island and to the light skinned dominicans your still just a “marreno = Brown or tanned skinned” god forbid you ever call another black man in that country just that a black man “nergo” that’s a fucking insult and he’s liable to shoot you. Even if he’s Westley Snipes dark don’t matter they always refer to themselves as “marreno”. All the time I’ve spent there I never understood that denile of there african culture and yearning for acceptance from there roots to Spain, even though like 90% of the country is black people. So, no this doesn’t shock me that Sammy would resort to this skin bleaching and hair straightening it’s actually a common thing in DR.

Hey guess what I’m Dominican too lived there a couple years in Santo Domingo went to UNIBE for a little bit before transfering out and coming back home to the states to pursue medicine, so I know alittle bit about the country and culture myself having lived there. I’m not claiming to be an expert, or a great speller in spanish as you so gleefully pointed out my mis spelling of the word “moreno”. I’m not saying this is ONLY a DR thing far from it many African/Latino mixed cultures struggle with identity issues as do many races but you have to get your head out of the sand and admit it is an issue.
