Rarely do we get a moment where Lil’ Wayne speaks on video for almost 30 mins. For his latest vlog, a “Weezy F. Baby Public Service Announcement”, the Young Money general took the time to speak on the recent passing of Apple founder Steve Jobs. The moment caused Weezy to reflect on life and respond to critics who’ve questioned everything from his drinking habits, to music choices, kids looking to him as a role model, taking up skateboarding, and more. As for him being a role model, that’s left up to interpretation I guess. On a grander scale did he just promote codeine?
So much for Lil Wayne being drug free and clear-minded, guess the rumors were true. I like him better sober hes a-lot sharper, when he first got out of jail you can tell he wasn’t on the syrup. As you can see form the video like his music he tends to ramble incoherently when hes not level headed. Some artist thrive musically on substances. I always say drugs only exhibit what you inhibit. It only reveals you doesn’t change you, but it will damage your health. I wont judge him, I just feel like it isn’t for him. I just think he paints a-lot more vividly without that giant cloud of codeine around his head, but glad to see he can expand on deeper thoughts and current events.

A couple things here….
1)The question of why do people “do this” is a fair one.
2)Its funny to see Boo in this video I guess he’s been Wayne’s golfer all this years.
3)While he’s defending/explaining what he does. Truthfully, its easier to be “passionate” when you’re rich enough to fully support the passion. You want to skate so u can BUY every piece of equipment. Having the means to do it makes it much easier.
4)”Chief Blood” huh…..Man I’m not even gonna touch that cuz what you’re considered due to your celebrity notoriety and what you are, are 2 different things

As a 43 yr old man that grew up on and loves hip hop. That was totally cool! Great job Wayne. It was informative, had messages to the youth and adults and not to mention funny parts. But the message came off great. “Get up and do something with your life and remember why you are doing things. And don’t forget where it came from.” I’m about to go out and run, then play golf. Instead of passion, I just hear a lot of anger. Lots of anger in his voice and his comments. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that this dude has had a lot of hurt in his life. A lot of us have. Doesn’t seem like he is past it though. I’ve failed to find anything enlightening in what he said. Please someone let me know if you found anything of value in this video. I’ve read a lot of people’s comments above, and know there are a lot of smart people who come to this website. It will redeem me somewhat from the regret I feel of wasting damn near a half an hour of my day. SMH

With all the business meetings, all the places across the world, and all educated and savvy people this man has come in contact with provided from having a successful career – I’m surprised this dude can’t express himself better than my 10 year old cousin.
Damn shame, for someone who is so witty in their music. The only thing that made sense was his story about initially wanting to skateboard.
Other than that, i wasted a half-hour of my life and loss tremendous amounts of respect for his intelligence.
