(Toya and Lil Wayne celebrate with daughter Reginae for her birthday last year)

I like the fact that while Lil Wayne is doing his time at Rikers, the women in his life have been actively in touch to make sure he is able to stay up on his 4 kids. Baby Mama #4 Nivea was on hand at when he turned himself in for sentencing, Baby Mama #2 Sarah tweeted about printing out photos to send to Weezy in jail, and Baby Mama #1 Toya was one of Wayne’s first visits. Toya also talked to Us Magazine about Wayne’s work detail in Rikers…

Toya says: “Wayne has a job — they got him on suicide watch for other prisoners…He watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don’t kill themselves. He likes the job even though they don’t pay him much…[Wayne] is doing OK. He is getting along with everybody. [Luckily] He didn’t have to cut his long hair!”

After the jump…
Birdman talks to DJ Scoob about his recent trip to Rikers Island to visit Lil Wayne…

MTVNews got this clip from DJ Scoob’s ongoing Young Money footage…in this clip Birdman and Slim head to their private jet and talk about visiting Lil Wayne in jail….

I just came from seeing my son….He been locked down a month. Seven more to go. You know he’s built for that. We been around convicts and killers all our life. We from New Orleans. … That’s what the No Ceilings sh– is about. Paradise on Earth. That’s how we living. Sh–. YM/CMB, we built to last. That’s what makes us. That’s what we built on. That’s just a nap. But when he comes home, best believe, big money poppin’. Big money sh–. Moolah!

Back on the topic of Wayne’s job detail….

Earlier there were reports that Lil Wayne would not be working because whenever he leaves his cell, he is escorted by at least one senior prison official. So, if Weezy had kitchen detail, that means a guard would have be assigned to sit there and watch, kind of counter-productive. But maybe in watching mentally-ill inmates, he can do that from afar. Any corrections experts who can clarify?
