Lil’ Wayne Announces ‘Tha Carter V’ Release Date, Reveals Album Cover

A night after his “Drake vs. Lil’ Wayne” co-headlining tour stopped in Hartford, Connecticut, Lil’ Wayne made his way to ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut to appear on Sportscenter and First Take. Speaking with Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith on First Take, Weezy revealed the fifth installment of Tha Carter V will arrive on October 28.
Moments after sitting down with ESPN’s Jay Harris on Sportscenter, Weezy unveiled the official cover to the album. Keeping tradition alive, Weezy returns with a baby picture on the cover, this time with his mother Jacida “Cita” Carter. Tha Carter V includes the songs “Believe Me,” “Krazy,” and the newly released “Grindin'” with Drake.
