Lil’ Wayne gave his first interview following the recent recent seizure attacks he suffered earlier this month. Calling into Power 106 LA‘s DJ Felli Fel, Lil’ Wayne discussed his new I Am Not A Human Being II album, his feelings being omitted from MTV’s “Hottest MC’s” list, his picks for the NCAA Final Four, past words for Chris Bosh’s wife, and the main topic on everyone’s mind, his current health status and TMZ reporting his near death.

During the extended phone conversation, Weezy revealed he’s prone to seizures due to a recent discovery that he’s epileptic. Assuring he is currently 100%, Wayne details this has nothing to do with codiene use, merely just stress and overworking.

“The bad news is I’m an epileptic, I’m prone to seizures. Like this isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures, ya’ll just never hear about them. But this time it got real bad ’cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could’ve died, so that is why it was so serious. But the reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself. That’s just typical me though.”

Lil’ Wayne speaks more on his health, the “Hottest MC’s” list, and more after the jump…….

Joining Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and others, Weezy also gave his thoughts on MTV’s “Hottest MC’s in the Game” list. Keeping his comments short, Weezy playfully mentioned he’s glad to not make it this year, and when asked if he watches the channel mentions he watches ESPN.

“I didn’t even check the top 10 list, but I’m glad I didn’t make it neither. I probably pissed some people off at MTV or something, I don’t know…..I Like ESPN.”

Lil’ Wayne states his current health situation is becoming normal, and has a team around him to handle it. Though his recent attacks never happened consecutively, making it more serious than past situations. When touching on TMZ’s coverage and reporting his near death, Weezy let it be known that he’s not upset.

“I have people around me, I actually have them so much they already know what to do. They already know how to handle it. Certain times I don’t even go to the hospital, but this time, it was real bad because it was three in a row, and I’ve never had three back to back like that. The third one was so bad and I live in the hills in L.A. So the reason why it was bad was that I live all the way at the top, so you know how hard it is getting down those hills. That was what was so scary about it.

That’s what they do, I can’t be upset at that. I get upset at my kids when they do things that I tell them not to do. I can’t be upset at TMZ for doing what they do. They gon’ probably come out tomorrow and say something else about somebody else that ain’t true. That’s what they do……the truth isn’t good enough for them, so they gotta twist everything up.”

The face of Young Money ends the 16-min interview touching on his past comments about Chris Bosh’s wife and the Miami Heat, his favorite track being “Trippy Kit,” and working with Juicy J. His I Am Not A Human Being II album is out now, early reports have the LP moving 190-210,000 units opening week placing it No. 2 behind Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience.
