Lil’ Wayne has been making news recently relating to his relationship with the NBA’s Miami Heat and their players. After allegedly being kicked out of a Heat vs. Lakers game earlier this month, Weezy revealed he was banned by the National Basketball Association. Days later, a league rep confirmed that was false. The emotions from that incident trickled down into All-Star Weekend, where Tunechi went on a rant during his own after-party where he bashed LeBron James, the city, and claimed to have sexual relations with player Chris Bosh’s wife.

On Wednesday evening, Lil’ Wayne called into Miami’s 99 JAMZ and spoke with Felisha Monet on-air to explain his issues with the team, and harsh comments over the weekend. While he takes back his words towards reigning MVP LeBron James, he stands behind everything else, including his words regarding Bosh’s wife.

“Let me start off by saying, I don’t apologize for that night, I don’t apologize for being who I am. That’s who I am, this is who I am, and yes I did say those things. Only thing I do want to take back from saying that night is I said ‘F**k LeBron,’ I didn’t mean to say that because me and LeBron we are cool and I’m really cool with his mom and we have a real good relationship, and that’s my homie but it just slipped out. I didn’t mean to say that. Other than that though I don’t take nothing back.”

What started all this? Lil’ Wayne reveals an unpleasant back-and-forth exchange he had with player Dwyane Wade during the Heat vs. Lakers game. Once tension rised, Weezy got up and simple left American Airlines Arena. The incident caught wind of NBA head office, who withdrew Lil’ Wayne from participating in this year’s Slam Dunk Contest alongside Gerald Green of the Indiana Pacers. Wayne also revealed he was to perform alongside Alica Keys during her halftime show, but NBA commissioner David Stern stepped in.
