Following in the footsteps of the other Mr. Carter, it looks like Lil Wayne might be making a move into the sports management business — and his first client could be one of the biggest soccer stars on the planet. According to TMZ, Weezy is starting his own sports agency, with Portugal and Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo being the first name on his roster.

Sources say the Young Money rapper’s agency — potentially named “Visionaire Sports Group,” which Cash Money filed a trademark for last year — will be in partnership with PolarisSports, which is affiliated with the CAA agency and GestiFute, the company operated by Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes. Wayne’s agency will oversee Ronaldo’s branding, marketing, endorsement deals and even modeling gigs in North America.

Aside from already being friends with Lil Wayne, Ronaldo added fuel to the rumor yesterday by tweeting a photo of the Prime Minister of Japan throwing up a Young Money symbol during a state visit. “He too real 4dat! Young Muulah baby!,” Wayne wrote back on Twitter.

Ronaldo is already the second highest-paid athlete in the world behind only Floyd Mayweather Jr., and with soccer fever catching on like wildfire in North America, there’s still plenty of potential for his brand to grow. Chalk this down as another huge W for YMCMB.
