Probably one of the more talked about tracks we anticpated for Tha Carter IV actually won’t appear on it anymore. Swizz Beatz has spoken many times about this record he produced for Lil’ Wayne that he envisioned as a follow up to Eminem’s “Stan” titled “Dear Anne.” Today we get the full track as it won’t appear on Weezy’s upcoming new album.

LOL even comparing this shit to Em’s stan.
beat sucks, hook is weak, not a terrible track but this doesnt even come close to Stan, why even bother?

This Is Brillant!!! Why This Isnt On The Album Is Beyond Me. Everything Else I Heard From The Album With The Exception Of 6’7″ Sounds Like Shit.

Should have never called it Stan 2, your just inviting the comparisons to the classic that is Stan.
and this joint isnt even close to what Stan was, Stan was brilliant, beat, flow, lyrically, perfect, this is just ehhh. Not terrible but not great.
You know the Wayne stans will say how great it is and how its better then Stan but we all know thats bullshit.
Should have called it something else and not tried to ride Em’s nuts.

Lil wayne is my favorite rapper HOWEVER this is not a stan2 nor a stan remix OR a stan anything….. STAN!!!!!!!! Was amazing a story a movie damn near lyrically impossible to reproduce and it fit eminems sick mind at the time I loved it, this song was like a letter to some chick wayne wanted to talk to and let know what he does on a day-to-day basis liked it didn’t love it but it was cool CARTER 4 IS GONNA BE CRAZY!

well seems like none of yall are deep cuz hes not talkin about a girl he wants to meet he talkin about Anne, but out of respect he didn’t put anne Frank which she was a Holacaust survivor running away from the Nazis, she was looking for light while she was stranded in darkness and he looked up to her, he is describing his self to her then he is explaining her struggle should i run should hide.. but she wants to be free but has no Choice… But Stan like you said is just a fuck up added part becuase of swiss beats interview.. They should just leave the shit as Dear Anne, And i think this is slightly better than Eminem’s Stan especially the Idea of a escaped nazis war surviver Amazing that’s uh (Icon) in my eyes don’t know about yall History is very important it’s what makes ppl who they are today and explains why things are the way they are

There’s never gonna be a “Stan part II”, sorry Wayne. Stan is it’s own genius. Em did it and it was original and lyrically sound. Sure, Dear Anne is REALLY good. But I mean even if EM had done a part II it wouldn’t work.
BTW, Wayne refers to Stan in Dear Anne, so it’s obviously a sequel, or at least meant to be
