Lil’ Reese Apologizes For Beating Up a Young Woman: “I Can Admit My Wrongs”…Female Victim Steps Forward

On Wednesday night, footage leaks online of Lil Reese arguing with a young woman and then punching and kicking her….but today, Reese took a different tone from his initial reaction, by tweeting an apology.
When the video first hit the web, Reese tweeted: “The haters tryna see a mf Dwn lol Dey gotta b broke and bored wanna upload sum shit from years ago damnn we winnin it’s 2 late…”
Meanwhile, reactions to the disturbing video have ranged from industry boycotts, open letters from women, and on-air blasts on Hot97…..to the opposite, i.e. angry support, calls for help, and jaded justifications. The full range of views are on display in the comments section of this blog.
But tonight, Reese is expressing his first signs of remorse and culpability. And the woman in the video, has made her first public statement as well….

Lil Reese’s apology tweet.
Meanwhile, a young woman from Chicago named Tiarah Marie has stepped forward as the victim in the infamous video….and posted a statement on Facebook. According to her, the fight took place just last year, not “years ago” as Reese tweeted. While Tiarah Marie dismisses the altercation as “old and dumb,” she ends her statement by calling Reese out for knuckling up with a girl: “a n—a who fight females is one themself [sic].”

wouldn’t define that as him showing culpability, this apology is obviously contrived. but hey, hood ratts like her catch beat downs all the time because they think they’re too hard rock to accept looks, comments & criticism from others so it was no big deal at all to me.

flex is a hip hop radio personality. he is a celebrity. he beats on women, even other hip hop personalities that are women. i don’t remember this site making a big deal about it.

It’s not hypocrisy. Funk Flex is a co-worker and presumably a friend so if she has something to say about what Flex did it would be more appropriate to say it to him personally in a one on one as opposed to addressing him in a blog. Lil Reese on the other hand is not a friend or a co-worker, he’s a rapper. Last I checked Miss info posted news about rappers and singers….Context matters people.

This reminds me of something someone once told me, which was “a woman should be treated like a lady. A bitch that wanna act like a nigga will be treated like a nigga”.
Personally, I never have laid hands on a female and I never will. However, I will say that some females do take the whole “never hit a lady” thing way too overboard sometimes. They’ll keep provoking a dude thinking that he isn’t gonna hit her. Then when he does, she’ll be quick to play the victim.
Now we don’t know what really started it all. There’s always more sides to the story. Am I saying Reese should have hit her? No. Am I saying she deserved it? I don’t know because I don’t know the whole story.

In this situation I would have walked away since it was her house and she asked people to leave. Period. No fight. Once again these are CHILDREN fighting… they will grow. A spat that got out of hand, tempers flared and PEOPLE lost control and let the situation get the best of them. It even happens to so called “adults”. What’s bothersome is that people who know the difference between sense and since or can distinguish if you’re hitting a man or woman most often can’t get signed to distribution deals.

I don’t agree with what lil Reese did, in fact I think he is a bit of a chump. But at the same time I think the girl could have asserted herself a bit more when telling them to get out instead of slapping dude – that’s when it all went wrong. Lil reese could have given her a little slap back and it wouldn’t have been so bad. It’s the way he tried to beat the crap out of her like she was a man – that was deep and a complete liberty !!

Keef Chief and them young niggas have done nothing but talk about guns, murder, and violence ever since they hit the scene, but everybody is outraged by them hitting women or not caring when their rival was murdered! These kids are from the south side of Chicago, this is not Rick Ross or Lil Wayne rapping about some fantasy, but it seems like that’s what hip hop fans today expect from the artists, it’s like WWF and when a rapper that’s not a actor comes on the scene and some ish happens everybody is so appalled. A few months ago lil Reese got into it with a kid and said he was “going to kill him”, on video, the kid was dead 8 hours later, but this was so “disgusting”, really!

This video seemed shady. First, it is a sliver of video … ie it looks like it was taken through a frigging keyhole!!! That’s first. Second the vid never captured the first “punch”. The “connect” is essentially off screen. (Based on vid posted on WSHH) What followed after that looked phony. Didn’t even look like he was really punching hard when he was doing the “speedbag” routine. The video doesn’t capture what was happening before hand either. Pub stunt? That’s my guess… I never heard of Lil Reese until this happened. If it isn’t a pub stunt, then take it from a cat that lived in plenty “hoods” since birth and up to the present day… LITTLE KIDS ARE ALWAYS FIGHTING!!! period

Okay so I am older and maybe I do or don’t have more wisdom. But here is how I see it at least. Both of them (guy,girl) are at fault. I may be mistaken but she is telling him he isn’t the only one with a fun. Then he is angered by her trying to threaten him and beats her. They are trying, both to maintain there dignity. An old slavery throw- back. I won’t be disrespected by my women/man because everyone is disrespecting me. But remember you have a black man as President. You don’t have to act as of you are on the bottom if you don’t want to. With all that said the second guy who jumps in to beat the girl is just a lowlife. Who does that. You need to double team a girl who is already losing. He is just a nothing, there is no hope for him. So my message, you don’t have to prove your worth through violence, you already have it.
