she is talking about breaking down sterotypes lets face it its very hard for a woman to voice her feelings in music aint no woman owns a record company think you will find it is all mainly male controled and this dictates music if fair is fair woman will be able to run there own record companies and i think this is the crossroads we are coming to soon and this will mean less sterotypes to come

ok info….whats your point? Leabe the girl alone. The fans seem pretty pleased to me. I dont see any feet kicked up or people booing like u said. So she talks a lot.Big deal. The industry is full of shit anyway…so is hot97

@jojo….does this clip look like the entire concert? the fall on the floor and the booing wasnt said by me, I wasnt even there…it was reported by many many people who were there, including two local newspaper reporters who were in the audience. thats what the big deal is.
Also, the industry or any media corporation being full of -ish has nothing to do with me, I’m not.
Thanks for reading and commenting though. I agree, some folks were supporting L during that part.

lauryn’s full of shit essentially. she had to go away because she was screwing a married man and got knocked up by him only to find out later that he got her friend and cousin preggers. period. the child lost her damn mind behind some man who was already taken when she started messing with him. she gets no more respect and this whole “clean up my house” foolishness? she needs to go seek therapy already and get her mind right because she’s obviously not all there.

Yo Lauryn is DOPE the industry is scared of her and the powers that be is trying to convince us that she’s having a melt down. what are they talking just the few words from this video was very powerful. I also know someone who went to the concert and they said she rocked ! so what she’s a little hoarse thats what i love most about lauryn is her raspy voice

It looks like lauryn hill is giving the fans and record labels the dave chappelle treatment. i could understand when she says she doesnt want to be made into a figure or icon because as fans of her music we expect so much from them.

I’m not mad at anything she said in that clip.. BUT there’s a difference between seeking your artistic freedom and giving a sloppy half-assed performance.. when you start making them look like the same thing, that’s not a good look..

Black Ice you just don’t get it. The majority of the people that went said the show was a joke fam. You keep tryin to defend her. This wasn’t no $25, we talkin $100 people these days just dont have $100 just to throw away. Its like she was at the box office collecting the money herself and just going home with all the money with out performing.

Is she still talking? Why doesn’t she just sing already. People literally forced themselves to listen to her last album . . . what was it again? Oh yeah, ummmmm NPR’s greatest hits.
A few words of advice for Ms. Hill –
No one really cares – get over yourself and your problems. People did not pay $100 to be your therapist.
Just play some chords on your guitar, add something like, a full band to accompany you and sing only happy songs (because your last CD had enough dreadfully morose, yes morose to wake the dead).
