Kreayshawn’s “Cosmic Kev” Freestyle On ‘The Come Up Show’ (Video)
Posted by Mr.North under videos[30] Comments
Recently, Kreayshawn made a visit to Cosmic Kev’s The Come Up Show and actually did a freestyle over Nicki Minaj’s “Did It On ‘Em”. I’ll leave thoughts to the MissInfoTV readers on this one.

I’m glad Casey Anthony’s stunt double chose a career path but this is a bit much…

so wait…Kreayshawn’s wack, but Jay-Z and Kanye are amazing lyricists? Have y’all heard WTT?
if you want to hear some BASIC rhymes, you really need to listen to JayZ on the album. It’s horrendous.
Kreayshawn is able to get a pass for this kind of shit because the people with power (the JayZ, the Kanye, Lil Wayne) are dropping stuff just as wack as this on the regular.
Except they’re passing it off like it’s fun/great music amidst all the fashion models, cars and expensive bullshit. Faux depth. At least Kreayshawn isn’t pretending to be artistic or super rich in any way – she’s just some average, random person.

Couture level flow its never goin on sale <~ that quote alone takes a big ass dump on Kreayshawn's career

^wow, that quote is DEEP/INTELLIGENT. Hip hop lives! lmao.
You’ve just proved my point. How BASIC is the line you just quoted? It doesn’t even mean anything in the grand scheme of things. But because Kanye/Jay say it, it’s dope?
then you’re gonna turn around and hate on Kreayshawn?
Homie, our acceptance of wack shit from ‘vets’ opens up the lane for people like Kreayshawn. They don’t just come out of nowhere.
That’s what I’m trying to get y’all to understand! You mean to tell me that there’s tons of great lyrical shit in the game, and that Kreayshawn is just a one-off wack child? lmao!

No, it’s a hot quote because Couture clothing never goes on sale. And Couture is a hot brand thats out. Meaning—wait for it.. That the record company is going to pay top dollar just because Kanye and Jay-Z is saying it…uhm MESSAGE.. Now if Kreashawn said that verse. I would’ve gave her props because its a hot line. And just because your favorite rapper doesn’t hit it out the park on every rhyme. It doesn’t allow fakes and phonies the free lane in hip hop. You know better than that. What’s in your cd player, my man??? Who do you call a hot emcee???

1st OFF!, making a comparision to JAY-Z, KANYE or LIL WAYNE!, automatically VOIDS your own comment,
you have the audacity to compare people that sold millions of records WORLD WIDE to a lil white girl that has a “buzz”
she’s not even comparable to EMINEM he’s a lyricable on all levels!! you cant be serious, face the facts shes WACK!!
HIP HOP lives but NOT thru her!!

homie, don’t get it twisted: Kreayshawn is wack as fuuuck
All I’m saying is that we gotta draw the line somewhere.
Think about it: if vets in the game are recording soft rhymes, why is it OK for them to do it but NOT OK for Kreayshawn? She’s only reflecting what you want to hear.
and I don’t care how many records you sell. MC Hammer sold millions. so did Vanilla Ice. Ja Rule. Nelly. Bonecrusher. Wack ass n*ggas sell records all the time.
By the way, speaking of Vanilla Ice, did you know that “Ice Ice Baby” was the FIRST hip hop track to top Billboard? lmao.
never underestimate the power and appeal of Whiteness. but that’s a discussion for another day.

FALSE!!!!
THE FIRST RAP/HIP HOP TO REACH NUMBER 1 ON THE BILLBOARD WAS SUGAR HILL GANG!!!! AND OR THE BLONDIES RAPTURE THAT WAS THE FIRST SINGLE!!
AS FAR AS WHITNESS, ITS NOT ABOUT HER SKIN COLOR ITS ABOUT HER TALENT, IF SHE WAS BLACK I’D SAY TAKE UR BLACK-ASS HOME TOO, SAME FOR GREEN PURPLE OR PINK, SO UR COMMENT IS “UNDERESTIMATING THE POWER OF WHITENESS” MAYBE TAKEN IN A RACIAL WAY AND IS NULL N VOID! AT THIS POINT
AND BONECRUSHER AND OTHERS U MENTIONED STILL CANNOT BE COMPARED TO KRE-TURE.

Bonecrusher sold millions?
genuine curiosity.
that Never Scared joint and the remix are still NAILS! TI went off on that joint.

Homie, do your research. Sugar Hill Gang did NOT hit #1 on the Billboard 100.
Rapture did, yes. But that’s not really a straight up hip hop record. It’s really a mix of new wave, pop and a bunch of shit. and it’s a White female too. lmao. I won’t take anything from that record though – it’s influential. crazy classic.
But yeah, do your homework.
I’m not sure how my argument is invalid. Look at how Eminem sells CRAZY units, even today, despite whatever bullshit he comes out with. Van Ice was the first on Billboard 100 with his weak shit. You can ignore reality or look at the cold hard facts.
Hip hop wasn’t at the top of the Billboard 100 till a White person got there.

i think you need to actually listen to WTT again and get all the hidden references, double entendres, play on words, puns etc etc. It’s not WHAT you say, it’s HOW you say it. Jay-z has proved himself time and time again, he just rapping about the high life now, but he being clever and witty as usual
kreayshawn is just rapping BASIC, the song is wack and she, so far, is proving herself to be a one hit wonder.

…..this reminds me of some old school minstrel show b.s. When white folk would act out the extreme stereotypes of black folk. How do you not feel insulted by this. Yet shes gotta more press this yr then a Jean Grae has in the past 5 yrs?
I’ll ALWAYS love Hip Hop but it hurts seeing whats being done to it in the public eye. I can always find music I like but why cant the mainstream at least pretend to care.
The truth is the heart of Hip Hop is overseas right now…..

How you gonna come up half-assed on comsic kev show, knowing hes gonna ask for free-styling. I know all you hip hop back packers insist on not writing during freestyle but she should have!!!
FYI: I love hip hop period I don’t care if shes black yellow or white long as she is hip-hop, but this was just sad.

I’m a long time hip hop fan, I go waaayyy back. The industry has gone way down, but for some reason I like this white girl. She is not so talented, but it’s different and let’s be honest she is more talented than Gucci Mane, Wacka Flocka, Oj da Juiceman, and Lil B combined!

You know what, I feel exactly the same way. And at least she actually freestyled her verse off the top. NOBODY does that anymore.
I love hip hop, and I’ll always will and I have to cope with what’s coming out these days. I have no choice. And as far as current hip hop goes, she’s not that bad.

That hurt. That was sooo uncomfortable to watch. I actually like kreayshawn, not a big fan or anything but I THOUGHT she was going to bringing something interesting to the game. LIL B FREESTYLES aren’t this awful. I think she was just nervous? But either way damn I feel bad for her lol.

I’m judging ur taste in MUSIC, CLOTHES AND POSSIBLY FOOD. IF YOU ARE COMPARING THIS KRE-TURE TO A JAY-Z, LIL-WAYNE… YOU CANNOT!
HAS SHE SOLD A MILL IN A WEEK, NO?,
DOES SHE HAVE ANY OUNCE OF REALNESS TO HER, NO?,
SHE DOESNT EVEN HAVE SWAG, HER GIMIC IS TO TRY TO EMMULATE SOMETHING THAT SHE IS NOT, AND YEA SOME RAPPERS DO IT, BUT THEY ARE BELIEVABLE, AND TALENTED! *LOOKS AT RICK ROSS* (WHO SOLD MILLS) SHE HAS NONE OF THAT!!!
SHE STEALING SWAGS, #THATSISALL!
I CAN RESPECT HER GRIND, BUT #THATISIT!

Kreayshawn’s notes to self:
1. Do less drugs.
2. Stop hanging with white people who drop “N” bombs.
3. Fire V-Nasty.
4. Hire a ghost writer ASAP!
