Y.N. Rich Kids “Hot Cheetos and Takis”
How can you hate on these adorable little crumbsnatchers….gathered on a corner, riding their bikes, wearing their non-ironic nerd glasses…rapping like 2Chainz…about cheetos!?!
I keep getting emails from folks (thanks Eric Hsu) telling me to check out this video from the Y.N. Rich Kids from the North Community Beats and Rhymes Program (a YMCA program in Minneapolis)…so finally I did, and some of these kids rap better than [insert name of that not-so-clean-cut rapper who is probably 5 years older and who just got a really big record deal but sucks].
But um….what’s a taki? *looks down at feet and kicks imaginary rocks*
Now that you’ve seen “Hot Cheetos and Takis”….how friggin’ cute is this other Y.N. Rich Kids artwork? Someone’s using their mindgrapes over there…
This Dr. Seuss remixed artwork for the Goin Ham album by another North Community Beats and Rhymes group is genius. Total copyright infringement, but genius. Waka Flocka is MMS-ing this photo to his jeweler as we speak.
You can check out all the other gems from the Y.N. Rich Kids and their afterschool crew, here.
Oh My God…
I just listened to one of the Y.N. Rich Kids’ other songs…and please click on “Karate”…PURELY to hear the high-pitched hoarse-voiced baby around the 2:05 mark. HAHAAAA!!! I love it.
“Karate” by the NSJ Crew
When the parents of these kids go to the club, do they turn to the bartender and say, “Phhf, my kid could do this!”
Remember this cute Waka-loving baby?

Takis – think Doritos but wayyyy spicier, flavors are caliente, fuego and nitro. They’re rolled instead of triangles. My 8 year old loves them. Sold in your Latin grocery stores and fine bodegas everywhere.

thank you! I’ve never had them…but now I’m so curious. And you’re the second dad that has mentioned how much kids love them….that means they must be horrible for your health, LOL!!
