ok, I’ve been laid out with a cold for the past few days. (one friend thinks it’s actually allergies)…..missed out on a trip to AC with Ang. missed out on Ciph’s birthday celebration and comedy show. missed out on my friend’s softball game. missed the mogulus crew. got chastised on the blog comments. failed miserably playing Vegas 2. was sick at my girlfriend’s bridal shower. was not the life of the party. missed all the beautiful global-warming weather….
but lets get back to the business of…snark. I’m gonna still post all that busta/alicia/biggie stuff that I peeped in a stupor. Especially that Busta stuff….me thinks he got exposed to that 28 days later I am Legend bug.
In the meantime, here’s the new Gym Class Heroes spinoff act, Tyga. “Coconut Juice” featuring Tyga’s cousin Travis and cameos from Lil’ Wayne and Pete Wentz.
Tyga Coconut Juice Music Video
Hey Tyga…Lil’ Wayne, Juelz Santana, and Soulja Boy called….they want their….oh, nevermind. Like Nas says, no idea is original, so I just gotta accept we’re living in the attack of the clones.
I foresee alot of tweens running out to get all-over print neck tattoos this summer. It sends that message of “I’m cool now, and unemployable later”

Word on the Necked up tattoos. Wait to make a couple Milli before you start doing that ish. I was at this little club in Diego a few months back and Saw WUV of POD and the only reason I was able to quickly identify him was his tatted up neck. Atleast he has gone multi-plitat though. *tats teardrop on cheek*

SMH@Tyga
Sounds like Lollipop recycled with some Dancehall added to it.
It’s so trashy, i’m afraid it will be a hit single.

I had a thought relating to this yesterday while watching (I thought I’d never be able to say this again) Yo!.
Brand Nubian, Naughty By, and KRS stopped through and Sadat said somethin to the effect of “That’s when hip hop was ill, back when their was a message”. What’s crazy is, I respect all those dude’s opinion alot, and I would think other cats in the game would too. But why doesn’t anyone try to change what’s going on? (And not by having borderline hypocrite rappers participate in Stop the Violence).
I feel their’s a message in hip hop,its just not getting played or broad casted in the same ways or funded the same as proven-trendy music. The money comes from large companies or investors, not the kids who buy most of the garbage out right now. I dont think we can blame teens for supporting. I know of a lot of dummy kids I can tell to do dumb shit, and guess what? They’d do it. Bernie Mac say’s “I’ll never let a 5 year old tell me what to do”. Same mentality we should take on regarding this dumb shit. Grown up rappers act like shorty’s and unfortunately alot of shorty’s look up to them.
I hate to sound hip hop elitist, but it feels like we feed the beast we battle. If you don’t like it, don’t support it. But more importantly,if you like it, push it in the face of every person you know. That’s how you’ll get rid of “…called and wants their _____ back”. Weed out the wackness, and dont let it pop up again.

That song was trash, and i think my IQ dropped 5 points. Some people just need to face reality and say to themselves “I will never make it big in music and its time to get a real job”. N with all those neck tat’s no respectable business is gonna hire him- time to drink bleach tigger.

That G.E.D. chain is priceless. He’d probably wear that to the job interview, too.
@ Miss Info – Are you saying you’re not into the “employable” type?

@ Info – Ah, I see. You’re into those self-employed, entrepreneurial types … BTW, welcome back. Glad to hear you are better.
I kinda like my job, so I can’t do the neck tats and earlobe stretches. I’m going to have to get a chain with my highest academic degree on it like Tyga. It’s the only way girls like Info will be into me.

forget neck tats. i am still waiting to do my tatted arm sleeve of a koi fish on my left arm fighting a dark moon on a pond and a nekkid chick on my right ala the winehouse.
BUT i work in accounting with full damn benefits and i go to church so i am waiting for my luck to change on those two scenarios. *plays a lotto scratch off ticket* anytime now. anytime.

Not really my thing.
I’m sure its been said but the only thing I remember is the chorus. So I guess it will fit right in with the rest of the stuff thats been on the radio for the last several years. Miss info? Do things really work in cycles? Is lyricism ever coming back. I mean its alive and well in the underground ( whatever that is) and with a slim few in the mainstream. But will radio ever have a balance again?
