Kid Cudi has been juggling music with a budding acting career in recent years, and now he’s finally set to combine his talents. Borderline Films today announced that Cudi is scoring the upcoming movie, James White, which he also has a part in. It’ll be his first attempt at film scoring, but Cudder has already been putting in practice on his last two albums, Indicud and Satellite Flight, which were self-produced.

James White stars Christopher Abbott (Girls) as the main character, who is “struggling to take control of his reckless, self-destructive behavior in the face of momentous family challenges.” Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City) and Ron Livingston (Office Space) have supporting roles alongside Cudi. The film has wrapped up production but is yet to announce a release date.

You can also catch Cudi in the upcoming Entourage movie, which is due in theaters June 2015.
