Not for the first time, a Samsung-sponsored album has forced the industry to set #newrules.

Three years after Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail prompted the RIAA to lift its 30-day wait on an album’s eligibility for certification, the Recording Industry has finally decided to recognize streams when tracking album sales. This comes on the heels of Rihanna’s ANTI, which was downloaded over a million times — and streamed more than 13 million times — on its release day and was subsequently certified platinum by the RIAA last Friday.

This new rule change also spells success for 17 more albums, notably Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly and Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise, which are now both platinum with streams. The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness, which was Spotify‘s most streamed album of 2015, is now 2X platinum, while Wale’s The Album About Nothing gets bumped up to gold. Oh, and Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which was recently crowned the first ever 30X platinum album, is now the first ever 32X platinum album.

Under the new methodology, the RIAA now recognizes 1,500 on-demand audio and/or video song streams as 10 equivalent track sales, which in turn counts for one equivalent album sale. Check out a full list of the newly-certified albums below.
