The 2018 NCAA College Football Playoff National Championship game took place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA, on Monday night (Jan. 8). Before a national champion was crowned between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide, the first-ever halftime show happened just steps away from the arena, outside at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. Kendrick Lamar headlined the halftime show, in front of thousands of engaging fans who braved the cold temperature. Draped in a large parka, Kung Fu Kenny performed a medley of songs off his platinum-selling album DAMN., including “DNA.,” “ELEMENT.,” his Billboard No. 1 smash-hit “HUMBLE.” and “All The Stars” off the upcoming Black Panther soundtrack.

Right after the performance, ESPN played a new trailer for the film that also features a new untitled track by Lamar. Arriving on Feb. 16 along with the film, the Black Panther soundtrack is executive produced by Kendrick Lamar and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith.
