Kendrick Lamar on Drake: “[We’re] Pretty Cool, and I Would Be Okay If We Weren’t”
Posted by Andy B. under Interviews , Quotes[3] Comments

King Kendrick continues to rack up the accolades. Gracing the cover of their annual “Men of the Year” issue, GQ have crowned the Black Hippy “Rapper of the Year.” As part of the feature, the magazine also pressed Kendrick about his apparent rivalry with Drake since his notorious “Control” verse dropped. Speaking to him shortly after the MTV VMAs — where the pair bumped into each other, and it was “all love,” according to Drizzy — GQ questioned Kendrick if he was still cool with his “Poetic Justice” collaborator.
“Pretty cool,” he said, before adding, “I mean, I would be okay if we weren’t.”
Kendrick also touched on Drake’s seemingly wounded reaction to his “Control” verse, why he considers him a “peer,” and hitting up Diddy’s VMAs afterparty. GQ’s “Men of the Year” issue is on newsstands now.
