Kendrick Lamar continues to chalk up wins both in and outside of the music world. Just days after hanging out with Barack Obama at The White House, it’s been announced that Kendrick will be honored with the key to the city of his beloved Compton next month.

The news was shared by Compton mayor herself, Aja Brown, who had nothing but praise for how Kendrick reps his hometown while spreading positivity throughout the world. “You inspire millions + rep #Compton w/ honor! Excited to give you the #keytothecity Feb13th! #VisionForCompton #ComptonUp,” she tweeted. K. Dot replied, “I appreciate that. HUBLUV.”

The key giving ceremony will take place in Compton on February 13 — just two days before Kendrick could potentially sweep the Grammys (he has 11 nominations, after all). Next month could be a big one for Cornrow Kenny.
