Kendrick Lamar’s debut album “Good Kid, m.A.A.d City” finally has a face. But the album art, which circulated across almost every hip hop blog this morning, was not released under the guise of the rapper himself. Kendrick took it to Twitter to express his frustrations with the leak:

“When u leak my album cover. Know that it’s not a price tag. Its my LIFE. & there’s alot of serious ppl that care about lil Kendrick’s life.”

The premature album cover depicts a polaroid of what looks to be a baby Kendrick around family members masked by censor tape across their eyes. There was initial confusion about the original source  of the leak, but authorized retailer confirmed they had released the standard and deluxe album covers this morning. While this stirred some angry words from Kendrick, the leaked covers were well-received by fans.

In a recent interview with Power 98 FM, the Compton rapper spoke of the impending album project. Kendrick explained the latest off-the-record single, “Swimming Pools,” was influenced by the many parties he witnessed as a kid, and as a result, effected his ideals of alcohol consumption as an adult.

While we don’t support unauthorized leaks, this work of art is already circulating throughout the Net, so check it out after the jump…
