Kanye wins the Complex blog Style War

Kanye won Complex’s first ever Style Wars, beating a field of 64 that included my favorite snappy dressers such as Ghostface, Slick Rick, Andre 3000, Pharell, and the GOAT gangster with the girly-’do Rappin’ 4-Tay from the Bay. The final pose-off was between ‘Ye and Jay-Z. And after Kanye posted the battle on his blog, he handily won with 77% of the votes.**
Here’s what he proclaimed exclaimed in response.
**full disclosure: I did not vote because I could not choose between Ghost and Slick Rick. And my first choice was not on the ballot. Nor do I know what his name is. But his haircut alone is godlike. (after the jump)

I think that patent leather vest jacket Jay rocked last year is what did him in. While Yeezy’s style is mad fishsticks Jay threw it back to the Total on Bad Boy era

I’m not surprised he got it, but to me his style is borderline. Sometimes sick and sometimes I wonder what he’s thinking. lol Slick Rick all the way!
On a side note though, I was listening to the morning show and you guys did a good job as usual. They need to make you guys permanent instead of the “other” show. Make it happen. lol

nod to ye for giving pharrell props for starting this whole thing… he was in the “grimey” video with a bape (or bbc i cant remember) hat and SBs on like wayyy back in whenever the hell that video came out.
