kanye west yeezus

The news ‘Ye stans (myself included) have all been waiting for: Kanye West’s new album, entitled Yeezus, will release June 18. The announcement comes just hours after the Louis Vuitton Don pulled off one of the most unique and innovative marketing stunts: debuting his new single, “New Slaves,” on building walls in cities around the world.

Kanye, who will appear as the musical guest on tonight’s hugely anticipated SNL season finale, sent Twitter into a frenzy earlier this month by tweeting, “June Eighteen” — a date many believed to be his album’s release (and you were right!)

While we may only have the sole record to enjoy (albeit through video footage) thus far, Yeezus is rumored to feature plenty of high profile guests: Daft Punk, 2 Chainz, Odd Future, Chief Keef and Skrillex, to name just a few. The record has also been described as “dark but really good.” More material from Kanye’s sixth solo album will be revealed in spectacular fashion, no doubt.

UPDATE #3: Available on iTunes, fans can now pre-order Kanye’s anticipated sixth solo album. The LP includes 14-tracks, though no song titles or features are listed.
