Kanye West performs his verse from “Run This Town” at G-Shock the World 2009.

Last night, Kanye West performed again at the G-Shock the World party (he performed at last year’s as well), this time at Cipriani Wall Street. G-Shock didn’t reach out to me in any way, shape or form, so I can’t show you their watches, but thank you to DefJam for the invite. I have more details about Kanye’s stageworks in an upcoming post but for now, here you go…

SIDE NOTE: this is the second year in a row that G-Shock booked Kanye for their big bash. Last year’s party was a huge success, and there are rumors that he was paid a million dollars to perform…I’m assuming it would be the same here, especially since, Ye did a full concert set with full crew, band, stagehands, vocalists (more on that later). I heard from my colleagues that an announcer told the crowd not to take photos or videos. But for the life of me, I can’t understand why….why you wouldnt want your enormous investment to live on on the web, globally and permanently…..and why you would think that this huge crowd of eager fashion, music, and media types would listen to that? Judging by the audience (which looked like a sea of coal-miners, because all you saw were flashing lights and lit-up cameraphones)…nobody listened.

more video after the jump….including Kanye’s performance of “Get Em High,” “See You In My Nightmares” and “Robocop”
