Kanye West & Jay-Z “H.A.M.”, the first single off Watch The Throne (Produced by Lex Luger) (Updated with lyrics)
Posted by Mr.North under Good For Hip Hop , New Music[84] Comments
Wow! Andrew at FSD told us about it… then Info confirmed that Luger did the beat… now here’s the record.
New Music: Kanye West & Jay-Z – “H.A.M.” (prod by. Lex Luger)
MissInfo says: Yes! Ye got that Do or Die flow! lol, I like. It’s got those B.M.F. exorcist sounds too. Which isn’t new, but isn’t bad either.
Also…”lil bit of nightrider, lil bit of bmf, lil bit of scarface soundtrack, lil bit of Twista, lil bit of exorcist, lil bit of aida…” ; )
But it wouldnt be fair to nitpick that “Hard as a muthaf–ker” is actually HAAM, lol.
I did notice that Pill was on twitter during all the “H.A.M.” commentary and tweeted: “I made it a hot song influenced the whole world and coined a term and phrase! Me and Maneilly had this convo already! Ha!” “What’s Pill doin? Currently penning his verse for the H.A.M remix.. It’s checkers not Chess…”
Props to Facebook.
Watch The Throne coming in March.

UPDATE: Lyrics after the jump…
“H.A.M.” Lyrics:
[Kanye West]
It was all good just a week ago
N-ggas feel theyselves and then Watch The Throne drop
They kill themselves
What n-ggas gon do Hov?
This a new crack on a new stove
I’m in the two-door, true that
n-ggas tellin’ me “You back”
like I ever left out this bitch
and if life a bitch suck my d-ck huh?
and I bet she f-cked the whole clique huh
By the way you should f-ckin’ quit n-gga
Just forget it, you talk it, I live it
Like Eli I did it, jokes on you muthaf-cker I get it
No paper hoe, but you can some more of me
Or-gy, or are we speakin methaphorically
Historically I’m kickin’ n-ggas out like Pam n-gga
Goin’ HAM n-gga, me and Jigga
and a n-gga still young, wanna have no kids
But i’ve been practicing with actresses as bad as sh-t
And a few white girls thats as flat a shit
But the head so good, damn a n-gga glad he hit
Got em jumpin’ out the building
Watch out below, a million out the door
I’m about to blow HAM
Hard As a Muthaf-cker,
Let these n-ggas know who I am
I’m about to go HAM
Hard As a Muthaf-cker,
Let these n-ggas know who I am
[Jay-Z]
F-ck y’all mad at me for?
You don’t even know what I’ve been through
I play chicken with a mack truck
Y’all muthaf-ckers woulda been moved
I swam waters with great whites
Y’all muthaf-ckers woulda been chewed
I hustle with vultures late nights
Y’all muthaf-ckers woulda been food
F-ck around with these dudes
Try to f-ck around in these shoes
See the shit I saw growing up
And maybe you can take a peek of these boo’s
N-ggas fantasize about the shit that I do daily like
These rappers rap about all the shit that I do rarely
I’m like really half a billie n-gga
Really you got baby money
Keep it real with n-ggas
N-ggas aint got my lady money
Watch the Throne dont step on our robe
Bad enough we let you step on our glow
When my nephew died, daddy dead
N-ggas took the price on my uncles head
Nobody called the cops is my uncle blessed
So I would like to feel like my uncles bread
Bow down, pay homage, down spill hate all on my garments
Commes Des Garcon, f-ck your fresh
head shots n-gga fuck your vests
F-ck the pig no pork on my fork
Peace God cause you know a n-gga just went HamHard As a Muthaf-cker,
Let these n-ggas know who I am
Yeah I’m ’bout to go HAM
Hard As a Muthaf-cker,
Let these n-ggas know who I am
Yeah I’m ’bout to go HAM
Thanks to TeamSupreme via KillerHipHop for the lyrics.

They both went innnnn
Beat goes in to. Jay and Ye are on some new shit forget what anyone else is doing they’re too far ahead.
January 11th, 2011 at 1:13 am
H.A.M. is one of those records that comes on the radio and 3 minutes later you find yourself going 35 miles over the speed limit for no reason.
January 11th, 2011 at 1:14 am
My guesses were Honey Ass Moochin’ or Hack A Macintosh. Yo I’m bout to go ham cus I aint no vegetarian. This trance opera bullshit is weak, son. Whens the next kanye produced song come out? Give me mo ‘thats my bitch’ quality music.
January 11th, 2011 at 1:15 am
kanye most likely added the opera to the track.. but you still hear that signature lex lugar sound… rick ross is gonna do a remix to this for sure…
January 11th, 2011 at 1:33 am
“Like Eli I did it.” !!! LMFAO
kanye went in.
January 11th, 2011 at 1:44 am
love that line.
January 11th, 2011 at 2:27 am
This Song Is Crack, I Got It On REPLAY!
January 11th, 2011 at 3:01 am
ah these are average jay and kanye verses at best nothing as savage as lupe – slr
which is what that beat demands not bars…barbarity
January 11th, 2011 at 4:56 am
Kanye “Like Eli I did it”
Oooh I see what he did there Mr. West. Eli as in Eli Porter – Deed It. Well Done Mr. West well done.

WOW! This is ridiculous. This album is going to be nuts.
January 11th, 2011 at 7:11 am
im waiting for the rick ross additions, this song is calling for him
January 11th, 2011 at 7:43 am
Wow hmmmm i guess ill be the first to say, im not really feeling it and i mean the whole song. Isnt going HAM a southern term to go crazy, stupid, wild when has kanye or Jay-z ever used someone elses TERMs or words, they are inovators. Just like when trey songz went at r kelly for using Auto Tune when r kelly is the man when it comes to singing and is respected by all in R & B im just not feeling it. And this beat is not Kanye or Jay Z, you ever wondered what KRS-ONE would sound like on a three six mafia beat or NAS on a LIL JON track this is how i felt it was not the beat for them, the only east coast rapper thats good on southern beats is Jadakiss, and im just giving my opinions, just saying and in my defense im 24 i got every jay cd every kanye cd i know wat there capable of but this is not it and the track wasnt put together very well sounds kinda bad for two top artist
January 11th, 2011 at 7:52 am
get ready for the gays or pink mafia niggas to go on every hiphop blogsite cosignin this bullshit all day actin like they like this bullshit. this shit sound like two people tryin to do somebody else style point blank
January 11th, 2011 at 8:41 am
EXACTLY!!! how they’re clean this one up for radio is beyond me. thanks goodness for the download!!!! LOVE IT!!! thanks Info
January 11th, 2011 at 8:55 am
nice let it begin i agree wit you homie
January 11th, 2011 at 8:55 am
im disappointed…
January 11th, 2011 at 9:09 am
good song, im glad Jigga went double time like the old skool Jigga,I woulda have fallen asleep if heard prick ross slow flow on this.
January 11th, 2011 at 9:13 am
The king of subliminals at it again? …”I’m like really half a billie n-gga
Really you got baby money
Keep it real with n-ggas
N-ggas aint got my lady money”
… Possible shots at lil wayne? what ya’ll think
January 11th, 2011 at 9:26 am
I guess I went in thinking epic and that was the wrong way to go… It was just cool for what it was… Epic it is not… Jay verse was better overall Yeezy had a few lines… When Jay god of flow came on to start his verse though it sounded like Diddy on that O Lets Do it remix… (listen to both if you dont hear it your deaf) but then he switched it up and went in… Word play was cool… I guess I pictured way to much and got let down a little… Still early though… Just the first single
January 11th, 2011 at 10:09 am
yeah u must be young. smh
where do i start
” when has kanye or Jay-z ever used someone elses TERMs or words, they are inovators”
uh, when jay said or say you smell me-thats a oakland e40 slang
theirs other but’ll stop there.
where the other stupid shit you said…….oh yeah “or NAS on a LIL JON track this is how i felt it was not the beat for them”
nas was on a lil jon beat.
maybe you was tryin to be funny and make a point.
January 11th, 2011 at 10:10 am
how is that a shot at wayne? smh
January 11th, 2011 at 10:11 am
i miss the days when you either like the songs or dint like it. plain and simple
all these fake ass rap critics be killin me
January 11th, 2011 at 10:15 am
Actually I was the first, but who’s countin 😛
Hypebeast will be hypebeasts. They wuz gonna say it was ill before the track even came out. I blame Lex Luger for this fail. Should have came out with something harder on 1/11/11
January 11th, 2011 at 10:48 am
I’m sorry but this doesn’t move me. Lyrically they both get busy but this over the top, over produced (again) track is just a bit much for me. I know it’s Kanye’s thing to turn every beat into an orchestra but many times it’s just overkill for me.
As far as “going ham” is concerned. We know how the hip hop followers will re act to this.
I’ll let Ed Lover tell it…..

January 11th, 2011 at 10:59 am
this joint is a banger lex really kill this joint u can tell ye had influences in the beat as well (espeically wit all the violin and opera singing at the end) and hov what can u say he brung back the jigga what flow and that lil jab at baby for his wayne got more money than him comment i knew sooner or later he was gonna address that …. hov is a slickster he dont say shit publicly about kats dissin him he jus diss them back in his song subliminally lol im on to you Shawn carter lmao ….
January 11th, 2011 at 11:00 am
Wouldn’t it technically be H.A.A.M.F.?
I mean I’ve never seen Mother Fucker abbreviated as just “M.”
January 11th, 2011 at 11:06 am
me too, i dont get the hype, mediocre at best for the callibur of these two. another lex luger beat… yawn… we need some just blaze
January 11th, 2011 at 11:09 am
someone needs to give lex luger a new sample cd
January 11th, 2011 at 11:17 am
Agreed. I think thats a subliminal shot to baby for saying wayne had more money than Jay.
January 11th, 2011 at 11:25 am
hot damn dude did you take your meds today, you must be old talkin bout miss the days ha no one is comin on to a message board to say
i hate it
i like it
wat are we robots, and quit shaking your head it might fall off we all like good music and were all have an opinion we are just stating them. What is a critic in your book, Arent we the people that buy the music so doesnt that make us crtics since i bought all this music i have the right to say it sucks or its hott. So calm down homie get laid do somethin other than blast frustration over the net, its a bad look.
January 11th, 2011 at 11:39 am
Meh. I must be missing something cos I like both artists but I’m not feeling this one bit.
January 11th, 2011 at 11:50 am
I don’t know why your shaking your head. It’s called a subliminal becuase most wont get it up front, it steeps into your conscience and you get it later on. 1st, A while back baby was saying Wayne is the best rapper because he makes more money than Jay-z. 2nd, I’m sure you heard waynes song A Milli. So put 2 and 2 together homeboy. “I’m really half a Bilii/ Really you got baby money”. Maybe i’m reaching maybe i’m not that’s why I posed it as a question and not a statement.
January 11th, 2011 at 11:57 am
not really feelin it. for some reason a lot of kanyes recent joints have been overhyped by the bloggers and the masses lately.
i think they were just trying to get some love from the south on this track. it aint bad tho
guys like soulja boy and gucci use the term HAM im suprised they didnt have a song with that title yet.
im even more shocked lex luger and his redundant beats got the attention of kanye and jay
January 11th, 2011 at 11:58 am
Jay been using others folks slang since Resonable Doubt, used many DC TERMS young 😉 LOL..but for the record I dont like this joint it’s just meh *shrug*
January 11th, 2011 at 11:58 am
They said that eminem will be on the remix. But this shit sound like a soundtrack. To tales from the hood type of sound.jay was jay but kanye was all over the place his verse was.Not that good at all.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:06 pm
yawn
January 11th, 2011 at 12:21 pm
Co-sign this.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:23 pm
Cam is also a beast on southern tracks.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:26 pm
King HOV, Jay Killed it! HOV!!!!
January 11th, 2011 at 12:29 pm
lol. it’s 2011. we were saying that back when I graduated HS in ATL in 2003.
2003!
“new york niggas were calling southern rappers lame, but then jacking our slang”
it’s cool tho.. jay and kanye have always showed love to the south.
January 11th, 2011 at 12:30 pm
disappointed, overly hyped-up, doesn’t live up to the anticipation.. nothing special. just blaze could’ve been a better pick for a beat, lex luger is constantly recycling his tired patterns
January 11th, 2011 at 12:43 pm
I love both of these guys and this track did not speak to me at all. I couldn’t listen twice really. NEXT!
January 11th, 2011 at 1:29 pm
Jay is the long of subliminals.* u niggaz got BABY money*
As in baby from cash money ain’t got money like him, I member that issue from last year too. Get em jigga
January 11th, 2011 at 1:37 pm
What is with Kanye and his faux-highbrow taste signifiers these days? The opera noise is ridiculous and embarrassing. If you’re gonna try and make hip hip more orchestral, and cultured and whatnot, atleast take the time to study the music. His understanding of art, fashion, and traditional “rich ppl shit” is obviously superficial. If ever there was a negro that needed some guidance.
January 11th, 2011 at 2:11 pm
Some of y’all already said what I’m thinking. Its easy to get caught up in the beat, i.e. “one of those records that comes on the radio and 3 minutes later you find yourself going 35 miles over the speed limit for no reason.” like homie said, but I’m listening to what they saying too. Aside from Jigga’s verse it was disappointing. For one, it sounds like a Soulja Boy | Waka Flocka record (which scares me). Ye’s verse was iight, nothing special. Watch everybody boutta start saying HAM!!!
January 11th, 2011 at 2:11 pm
all of luger’s beats sound the same…sad to say it but not pleased
January 11th, 2011 at 2:16 pm
i hope this is one of those that they leave off the album or surround it with good songs so i can just skip…this song makes me do the opposite of get hyped for the album
January 11th, 2011 at 2:53 pm
WATTTT??????? people r u for real this is awful, dont wanna say garbage cuz jiggas flow is ight, but come on grow a pair of ears and a taste at that too.
January 11th, 2011 at 2:54 pm
no its not….
January 11th, 2011 at 4:24 pm
Showing luv to the south aint a problem cuz I’ve loved southern music since the Dungeon Family but that dont mean I’m co-signing everything any rapper says is hot.
January 11th, 2011 at 4:47 pm
LOL This comment is for Toure on twitter!
January 11th, 2011 at 5:17 pm
as you shouldn’t.
January 11th, 2011 at 5:23 pm
with the exception of hov’s verse..this song is weak, and i am a huge fan of both artist. ‘Ye flow weak even tho he said some cool lines, and the beat is the perfect example of “polished turd.” Personally, as far as music goes i always rather instinct over intellect. Seems like you overthink this one to me ‘Ye. Still excited that they doing a project together tho!
January 11th, 2011 at 6:00 pm
hypebeast
January 11th, 2011 at 6:23 pm
Im Not feeling it, it sounds like Jay z and Kanye are ‘bored’ and maybe they should just stop, because this song sounds tired. Im a fan of all types of music, but mostly Hip Hop, lately i think some rappers have become complacent and the media hypes it up too much, for example Drake, loved his mixtapes, hated the album, the same with Nicki Minaj, just saying. Is it me or does Kanye sound quiet angry on tracks lately.
January 11th, 2011 at 6:45 pm
Co-sign. Cam destroys down south beats. Lex and Jon should co- produce the next Cam
January 11th, 2011 at 7:27 pm

January 11th, 2011 at 11:27 pm
The outro sounds like Ivan Drago’s entrance music before he fights Rocky
January 12th, 2011 at 5:56 am
so apparently jigga and ye also think they are big meach now? or is it MC Hammer. damn shame.
January 12th, 2011 at 9:22 am
very disappointed.. beat sounds exactly like all of lex luger’s other beats. epic fail. smh at you hypebeasts.
January 12th, 2011 at 12:37 pm
*spit out water, rollin on the floor…*
January 12th, 2011 at 2:05 pm

January 13th, 2011 at 3:16 am
I’m like really half a billie n-gga
Really you got baby money
Keep it real with n-ggas
N-ggas aint got my lady money
Watch the Throne dont step on our robe
Bad enough we let you step on our glow-
STep on our glow sound like giving Wayne shine or Wayne being called the greatest( hell na in my opinion )
DO REMEMBER.. JAy last sound in so appalled
“How should I begin this
I’m just so offended
how am I even mentioned by all these f-cking beginners?
I’m so appalled I might buy the mall
just to show n-ggas how much more I have in store”
Lil wayne JUST started REALLY getting recognition thats like 1 album if you really look at it.. he had mediocre album before that but Really just started getting that look…

January 13th, 2011 at 6:30 pm
That’s the regular Jay subliminal right there….I must agree…..thought the same shit when I first heard it…..ah billie, ah millie…..baby money (they always say baby controls wayne bread)…..
January 14th, 2011 at 12:58 pm
this is crack with a stem
January 15th, 2011 at 1:08 am
Ummm we’ve BEEN SAYING HAM in the south. THIS shit is not new!
February 2nd, 2011 at 3:30 am
So what do you think they mean by Watch The Throne? Are they battling for the throne, challenging an up and comer….?
February 2nd, 2011 at 3:34 am
…or is it just a respect thing? They want you to watch them on the throne.
Either way…looking forward to hearing the new record. Any word on when it will come out?
