The numbers are in and after previous reports, Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience album debuts No. 1 on Billboard’s album charts. Lead by the singles “Suit & Tie” with Jay-Z, and “Mirrors,” the pop star’s first album in over six years sold 968,600 copies opening week confirmed by Billboard/Nielsen SoundScan.
It marks Timberlake’s second No. 1 solo album and easily eclipses his FutureSex/LoveSounds LP, which opened with 684,000 units sold its debut week. Justin’s new album is the sixth highest debut week post-2005 and biggest for a male artist since Lil’ Wayne’s Tha Carter IV sold 964,000 units back in 2011. Congrats to RCA Records, J.T., and Timbaland for a record-breaking week, meanwhile you can purchase The 20/20 Experience on iTunes now.

i’m shocked that in 2013, 980,000 bought a cd/mp3 album in a week period, let alone all buying the same album.

You’re right… Most numbers are fixed and this is an obvious sign of that!
I’m not hating because I’m some JT hater! I LIKE THE GUY! Its just clear that this shit is fixed… If the powers that be want you to move units you do 980k first weekk if they dont you do 134k like 50 Cent gone do in the first week of his next record lol.. sad!
980k on 2 singles and one is ASS?!?!!?

who cares what it moved? the album is weak sauce. marketed brilliantly tho. but then again, how hard is it to market something that appeals to the lowest common denominator? no one I know who actually loves this music shit thinks this album is any good, especially when you compare it FutureSex in terms of quality.

I agree the album is few levels below Future Sex Love sounds
The albums does have its moment though
Definitely not a classic but an overall good body of work

NO ONE IS CHECKING FOR 50!!! lol

Who cares about 50? If he wasn’t such an asshole and put as much effort into his music as starting beef maybe he would move units. Justin’s fans have been waiting on this for a long time and they put their $$$ up. No one is going to bat for 50 like that. Stop making excuses. 50 should disappear.
