The problem with hip-hop flicks is they are quick to roll camera.

The need to focus more on the plot and pay attention to bringing the script to life. Plus they need legitimate directors and producers.

I like hip-hop films though, LL Cool J, DMX Belly, Ice Cube xXx2 Boyz in da hood,2 Pac Above the Rim,Snoop Dogg in Starsky & Hutch

I think hip-hop needs 2or3 decent films every year. Then maybe I might watch the Oscars.

Plus Queen Latifah and Will Smith be doin there thing too

I will watch this movie though Killa Season was……..I still ain’t got my head around that 1. Especially when Flee’s niece gets shot

That scene with where Downy flirts with Tyson is a beast[||]. It looks like they improvised it and didn’t tell Mike, Downy looks scared for his life. I would look for it right now on Youtube, but I am gearing up for 30 Rock/ LOST. Oh, shit, I just watched the trailer, it looks pretty good. There is definitely some culture clash around that part of Brooklyn, and I think that is where the native NY kids picked up all that tight pants stuff from hipsters (or vice versa.)Let’s go to the Williamsburg screening, maybe a riot will break out

By the way…y’all should check out this book by photographer Boogie called “Its All Good”. Although Boogie isn’t a hipster like the characters in this film, his photography is true-to-life images of ganglife, drug uses and pretty much any part of Brooklyn that hasn’t turned into Williamsburg (yet). The concept of going into these communities and “documenting” them reminded me of the book.
