New Freestyle: Joell Ortiz “Make It Without You”
oh, wow…this just broke my heart.
completely.
and made me think about the people I love but don’t show enough love to. I want to but I’m use being busy as an excuse. (busy in this hamster wheel) Still, there’s always this fear that one day it will be too late.
thank you, joell for sharing. and bringing us back to something that matters.

Crazy because as I get older you know this shit is near… Gramps time is almost up, moms is fighting the good fight… Life is a bitch but no need to cry homie ride that shit out!
Like the AK sample… Why does that cut sound like an 80’s song?

Music like this is why I cling on to my old morals and feelings about Hip Hop. Sometimes “he’s getting money” has nothing to do with the worth of the music. My family just took a couple hits last week and that shit can sour the holidays like nobody’s business.
Thanks to J.O for a real jewel.

this is on some “All I Got is You” straight from the heart, I can relate to the pain Hip-Hop. I can’t even think of a track like this being played on the radio(hot97 & power105) in a looong time…too many people focused on selling records and not actually making good music, music with no expiration date on it.

@ BIG its a Pat Benatar remake. This is Hip-hop at its purest form. Dudes need to take notes from Joell . Its a shame how people hate on real artist but kiss ass on fake ones. Thanks Missinfo for putting this one up.

I usually don’t comment on things but this was so real I had to… I don’t know Joell Ortiz but the vybe that he gives off with his music and interviews is that he is a genuinely good guy with a lot of talent. I really hope he pulls through this. R.I.P. Joell’s Grandmother

I lost my grandmother 15 years ago seems like yesterday. And listening to this song brought tears to my eyes I felt the pain too. Its so real. I loved My Ma! You never forget they stay with you. Just remember to tell the ones that are here You love them. Trust that life is short and all that you take for granted, think about it…
