But Info help me understand something….people like you and Eskay, say you hate this beef, video drama, diss songs, fighting, etc.etc. but yet you posted EVERY video and response and response to that response and diss song, and video reponse to the diss song.
You post this stuff for all to see on your site, if you hate beef so much and it irritates you why give it a voice on your site, if guys like you and Eskay and all “righteous” bloggers dont post beef videos then thats a few thousand people who wouldnt know about the beef, and maybe the beef dies or fizzles out

There are alot of credible sites that had NO MENTION of this beef between Buddens and Ransom, or any other beef videos, you think it was because they didnt know about it?

Do you ever have an opinion of something you don’t approve of? This blog is for my opinions. If I only post things I love then this would be a very very boring place.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I think there’s a big difference between posting stuff for the sake of fanning the flames, and posting stuff for the sake of denouncing it and allowing dialogue.

I know this is your blog (one of my favorites =)) & you have the right to post whatever you like, & we all know that you & Joe are cool beans.
That being said, it seems like you’re kinda putting a spin on this, like Budden is such a bigger dude(Ayo?), when he’s actually the one who started the “beef” & he’s the one responsible for homeboy getting smacked. Even this clip comes off as a parting shot from Joe, cause he still disses Ran in the midst of squashing the “beef”.
I dig Budden’s stuff & he’s one of my favorite MC’s/Hip-Hop personalities of the past few years, but this whole “bigger man” thing seems insincere. If Joe was really genuine about trying to settle things down, he woulda talked directly to the cat he has beef with & not release another vlog, which is pretty much what started the “beef” in the first place.
Real cats don’t beef via the internet, playing it up for the crowd, especially with someone who used to be a homie. There ain’t no money involved, so holler at that man, let him know it’s really dead on your part & leave it alone.
I hope this is over, but the way Joe ended it just leaves the door open for Ran to respond.

I’m glad this is over from Budden end because it was retarded and it was obvious what was going on. Budden created a little buzz with his vlog and like he said Ransom’s whole name is based off of this beef. Whenever there’s a Budden there’s gonna be a piggybacker like Ransom. Stuff like this shows he’s not going to respond to every hater, sometimes you gotta keep it moving. The best revenge is success.
I haven’t even watched the video with Ransom retaliating to Budden outside of Applebee’s because the whole premise was stupid. Putting hands on somebody innocent? That shit was beyond ignorant. It seemed like a caricature of the industry you’d see on The Boondocks. The whole thing from his end was turning into a joke. Some cats you just can’t respond to.
Glad this shit is over, even if Ransom responds just keep doing what you do. It’s new cats you’re picking up straight from your videos that don’t know who Ransom is, don’t even give him the time man.
The whole new movement and the records were parallels to shit that I was going through and that’s what put me down to Budden because the first album honestly isn’t one of my favorites. But records like Under The Sun and Dear Diary spoke to me. The vlogs showing him as a regular dude living just how regular cats live or want to live were dope. Then this stupid shit happened and it was almost two steps back. Glad this stupid shit is over because he was cocking the hammer ready to shoot himself in the foot by responding to a nobody.

Hip Hop Police would be at his door if he responded anyway else. The lines of Art and reality merged and now we have a real drama. This seems to be the correct route to solve this issue but in reality its a smoke screen to keep his team out of the microscopic eye of the law. @ philly phil, I don’t know if you will read this but I don’t think info is being a hypocrite at all. The majority of her auidence and fans of her blog agree with sentiments about squashing beef and ending nonsense fueds. Its her Job to report it. Check other sites where they are bad mouthing Joe for attempting to end it, then read the comments on this site its a world of difference. Whether we watch the videos or not all of this still happens…Think about it.

This thing just feels fake from Joe Budden. He didn’t do this with the true intention of letting Ransom “win” the beef. He’s doing this to embarrass him. Ransom would be an idiot to shoot at a man waving a white flag. And if Ransom doesn’t reply, everyone will say Joe won the beef altogether.
This is a really smart move from Joe, but it just feels really calculated, knowing a bit of how he is through his videos. And if Ransom continues to diss Joe, Joe can just come back in and start dissing back on some “I tried to be nice, but you kept at it” shit.

I don’t really care for how bloggers sometimes report on these “beefs.” Your default position seems to be that the less popular, less critically acclaimed rappers are desperately unhappy because of their “spot” in “the game,” that they are all obsessed with their position on some imaginary list. Joe Budden revives his beef with Ransom by shooting his mouth off, which he does a lot, but now he gets to take credit for “being the bigger man,” but only after his words set in motion a chain of events that got some random dude slapped up. I guess I should be happy that it wasn’t worse than that. Jay-Z throws a shot a Jaz-O -without whom there would be no Jay-Z, by the way- and when Jaz-O responds, he is told that he is an angry, jealous, “hater” that is trying to revive his career. Now, I can admit that Ransom comes across as irredeemably ignorant. However, just because a rapper ain’t mainstream hot doesn’t mean he isn’t allowed to stand up for himself. Why should he have to take that from a popular rapper? The popular rapper’s audience is bigger and therefore the insult is magnified because for whatever reason he is not satisfied with that and wants to go ahead and pick on a lesser-known. Should said lesser-known let it go at this point? Should he not say anything and let somebody popular shit on him in front of the entire world? That doesn’t seem fair. How come nobody talks about how rappers get big and then become really fuckin’ petty? 50 Cent was the most popular person literally on Earth and couldn’t stop talking about everybody. Jay-Z loves to throw little jabs all day. Now Wayne wants to go at 50, but when 50 was taking shots at him last year, he was quiet. I actually agree with you…but I have to qualify a few things. 1) Joe Budden is not the mainstream hot rapper. So in many ways, he and Ransom are are similar turf. This doesnt feel like a david vs goliath situation. (In those situations, I usually favor david…also because david is usually more clever) I think Joe is guilty of many things, feeding into things, and shooting his mouth off definitely. Maybe he didnt know the power of the web when it comes to taking words and raising them into actions. But I think smacking someone unrelated is a different level of wrong. And walking away with a “loss” is a different level of reason.
So I stand by my reaction.
As for Jay-Z and Jaz-O. I don’t feel like I totally understand the nature of their falling out. And I’m pretty confident that Jay-Z wasn’t the best most considerate or appreciative friend that any guy could ever have. That’s just an assumption that I make from other unrelated actions that I’ve heard about or seen.
So I dont think Jaz-O is wrong is feeling resentment or bitterness or anger or sadness at all. I think there’s alot of people who maybe should feel the same way…but they don’t because of the power that Jay-Z wields. Which is understandable too.
But I feel like in some of the videos there is a sense of entitlement that is unbecoming. Birthday cakes and video attacks don’t do justice to what most fans with context (myself included) already know…that Jaz was the Originator, and Jay-Z was the “feature” on their collaboration. Nobody can take that away, but the present war of words sullies it. And Jaz getting mad at folks who have an opinion about the current debate isn’t a good look either. If you put it on the web, shouldnt you accept dissenting reactions?
