The stars made their way to NYC’s The Theater at Madison Square Garden, as Roc Nation launched Roc Nation Sports Presents: Throne Boxing on Friday night. Hosted by Angie Martinez, the evening featured some of boxing’s finest going head-to-head in the ring, live on FOX Sports 1. Sitting front row taking in all the action was Roc Nation Sports founder Jay Z, who was all smiles during the inaugural event. Others in attendance included Rihanna, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, Spike Lee, C.C. Sabtahia of the New York Yankees, actor Michael K. Williams, The View‘s Rosie Perez, and Santigold.

Fabolous and DJ Mustard provided the night’s entertainment, as the main event ended with 20-year-old Dusty Hernandez-Harrison defeating Tommie Rainone by unanimous decision to improve his record to 25-0. On Friday morning, Roc Nation Sports announced the signing of another high-profile athlete, current WBA and The Ring super middleweight champion Andre Ward. With a record of 27-0, Ward confirmed the news on Instagram, and joins a roster that includes NBA superstar Kevin Durant, the NFL’s Dez Bryant, Victor Cruz, Geno Smith and Ndamukong Suh, and MLB stars Yoenis Cespedes, C.C. Sabathia and Robinson Cano.
