TIDAL X: Jay-Z B-sides in NYC on May 16, 2015 in New York City.

JAY Z’s first B-Sides concert in New York City was definitely one for the books. To the surprise of many, Hov even let the livestream go public for Free-99. It was a rare treat for Jigga to perform tracks like “Ignorant Sh*it,” “Can I Kick It?,” “In My Lifetime,” and so many other rarities.

I think the most talked about moment, though, was when Beanie Sigel walked out onstage to reunite with his ol’ friend. We’re all aware of the ups and downs of their long and storied working professional relationship. But as grown men, it looks like they put all that bad blood to rest. Hip-Hop can smile at this.

Jay starts at the talking second mark and frestyling around the 2:35 min mark

“I don’t need no middle man to talking to my ni**as, I understand if you don’t understand, I figure I’m Jigga
That’s where we differ/I take what’s mine, you accept what they give you and I get you/I don’t take no checks, I take my respect/Pharrell even told me go with the safest bet/Jimmy Iovine offered a safety net/Google dangled around a crazy check/I feel like YouTube is the biggest culprit/Them ni**as pay you a tenth of what you supposed to get/You know ni**as die for equal pay right?/You know when I work I ain’t your slave right?”

“You know I ain’t shucking and jiving and high-fiving, you know this ain’t back in the days right?”
Then Jay threw in some commentary on police brutality (that should be its own song, sir), and his haters.
“Well I can’t tell, how the way they killed Freddie Gray right/Shot down Mike Brown how they did Tray right?/Let them continue choking n****s, we gon’ turn style, I ain’t your token ni**a/You know I came in this game independent, right?/TIDAL, my own lane, same difference/Oh ni**as is skeptical about they own sh*t/You bought nine iPhones and Steve Jobs is rich/Phil Knight worth trillions you still bought those kicks/Spotify worth nine billion and they ain’t say sh*t!”

Last night was Epic to say the least. There were a lot of great guests and dope moments. The classic street songs that were performed brought back a lot of memories for everyone listening and watching. There was a sick pic in the hallway that I captured that @VegasJones posted with everyone in it that went viral. Yeah, I played myself and didn't get to post it. FML. Lol. But…Nothing was better than this moment though. These 2 brothers of mine haven't seen each other in about 7yrs or so. Everyone has grown and gone in their own paths of life. Still all in all there's a sense of maturity that comes with growth especially when pride and ego are put aside. You think about all the good times and literally laugh at all the bullshit. It was all genuine love when the fam got together. I love my niggas. #JAYZxTIDAL #STATEPROPERTY #ROC #ROCAFELLARECORDS #ROC4LIFE
