Jay-Z on the Tim Westwood Show: full interview
Posted by Miss Info under laugh with , quotes , things I like[19] Comments
(thanks to HipHopStan for editing out the commercials and posting the interview in 4 youtube clips)
My big homie over in the UK, Tim Westwood, (I’m part of Tim’s Radio One UK show with the “Miss Info Celebrity Drama Report NYC to the UK”) already shut it down with that snippet of his chat with Jay-Z this past Tuesday. So on Saturday, he played the rest of this epic interview. They talk about his “independent” deal with Atlantic, they reminisce on Michael Jackson’s impact, they talk about his haircut, answer twitter questions, blackberries/iphones, the recession, and of course Blueprint 3. I was talking to some of my old MTV colleagues about how at ease and forthcoming the usually guarded Hov is when he goes to London. From his Tim Westwood chats to his Friday night with Jonathan Ross appearance…its fun to hear Jay-Z’s quick wit in an interview, as opposed to a moderated press conference. I think Jay also has that rapport on air with Angie Martinez.

“Tell groupie to get over it” – I like that quote.
I enjoy the majority of the Game’s music, but I’ve just never warmed to the guy as a person, its Jay everyday.
Big up Tim Westwood! – with the exception of a certain interview with Mr KRS-One back in ‘97 [check YouTube], Westwood has generally a great rapport with all his guests regardless of their stature.
PS: As a UK native, I’m always glad to hear ‘Miss Info’s Celebrity Drama Report NYC to UK’ every Tuesday & Saturday night, BBC Radio 1.

You are f**** for taking the time to right that stupid post.
I love PAC but he was character was kind of fake. He repped LA but was born&raised in Harlem.
Prodigy career is over! He underachieved.
Jay-Z like it or not doesn’t owe anyone nothing or has nothing to prove because he is success and great at what he does!
I’m tired of other rappers such as Game (I’m a Game fan) take shots at Jay because he is successful.
Stop being faggots! You other bloggers that are anti-Jay need to get a life. Jay doesn’t care about you.
For the record, I’m a big Nas fan and Nas won the battle. But, I respect Jay-Z as a lyricist and businessman. Stop hating on him Miss Info!
Stop sucking Dipset and other rappers dick!
