Jay Electronica and Just Blaze take the mic on the Ecstatic Tour
Posted by Mikey Fresh under videos[7] Comments
Mikey: Jay Electronica performed a few cuts on Mos Def’s Ecstatic Tour as it hit Governor’s Island this weekend. With his pal, Just Blaze, playing hypeman, the two super-producers performed in Jay-Z and Bleek fashion. Imagine if these two did an album together…

TWO Super-producers ???
Can someone remind me what exactly Jay Electronica’s done again??
I’m serious I’ve been hearing about this guy for a while now and have no clue what he’s done other than a couple of underground songs for himself….

hes a nobody who ppl love to hype. as is exemplified here he embodies 90s golden era rap but compared to the past he can only be judged mediocre. sounds sub-Tragedy Khadafi level. pls explain why you are so in love with him info?
“have you eva eva eva eva been depressed so bad?,
it was a struggle every day not to regret your past……”
thats deep? plus his cadence and syncopation is always weak

Alright super producer was a stretch, and Jay E. may not have the all star production credit list, but don’t sleep on him.I’ve heard some joints he’s got coming out soon, crazy. I interviewed Talib a few months ago saying and I remember him saying “How about that joint he just played for us last night; Mos Def, Just Blaze, Jay Electronica, T.I., and Jay-Z on a track together”.

“I’ve heard some joints he’s got coming out soon”
Yawn. We kinda heard that line from bloggers since 2007. Its damn near 2010 and not 1 notable release or performance. Dude was cosigned and put on by an “elite” few, not music fans.
No hate, just speaking honest.
