Just days before his recent hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, Jamie Foxx sat down with Oprah in the latest episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” For the first of a two-week special, the two got together at NYC’s plush Soho House where Foxx reflects on his successful career and personal life to this point. The multi-talented entertainer discusses his beginning as a comedian on In Living Color, wanting to always be a musician first, his encounters with racism in his hometown of Terrell, Texas, and a career defining moment when filming the movie Any Given Sunday.

When it comes to his current personal life, the Academy Award-winner opens up on why marriage hasn’t been on his agenda and how heartbreak affects men. Later on, Jamie is joined by his 18-year-old daughter Corinne as the trio catches the lunch crowd at Soho House for an impromptu performance on the restaurant’s baby piano.
