J. Cole’s 29th birthday will forever be a memorable one. After announcing his Dreamville label’s partnership with Interscope Records and releasing a new compilation mixtape, Cole World and the “What Dreams May Come” tour pulled into The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Continue after the jump…..

During the sold out show, J. Cole kept the guest minimal but who joined him on stage were two of the biggest stars in rap. Good friend Kendrick Lamar hopped on stage to perform a medley of songs including “m.A.A.d city” and “Beackseat Freestyle.” “I just want people to know how much of an inspiring artist this man is to me. He’s one of the first people who welcomed me with open arms. This ain’t no rap friendship or nothing. He taught me just to laugh,” said Lamar on stage when discussing his bond with Cole.

The biggest moment of the evening followed as Jay Z surprisingly jumped on stage and performed “P.S.A. (Public Service Announcement).” The Roc Nation boss came with a gift, giving J. Cole his original Roc-A-Fella chain. “That on your neck is my original Roc chain, and its yours,” Jay Z said during Cole’s chaining moment before closing with “F**kWithMeYouKnowIGotIt.”
