Something Tariq, despite his calculated reply, is forgetting, is that “Officer Ricky” is now a gimmick. I havent met someone since that cartoon aired that hasnt referred to Ricky Ross as “Officer Ricky” in the same high pitched voice 50 uses. Despite your thorough reply, I think you might be misinterpreting just how effective some of 50’s “work” in this beef will be.

As you said, people will still cop Ricky’s album (no pun intended) even without radio play. But im sure you can agree that without dj’s spinning his tracks, the numbers will be significantly lower than if he had their support. Which kind of renders that argument obsolete. The whole idea is to damage, not to destroy. Referencing 50 himself “I dont dislike anybody enough to stop them eating period” not to mention how much more time and energy would have to go into completely shutting somebody down, plus the much higer risk of failing.

IMO, Ross will still be around after the dust settles on this back-and-forth, but his sales, at least temporarily, will be lower than his label anticipated them to be. Either before, or even when they potentially orchestrated this.

To conclude, you really shouldnt lie about, no, infact, you REALLY shouldnt be a CO turned Mafia connected hip hop “boss”. Its just bollocks really

@ I AM LEGEND Banks is just as lyrical on this song or better than Nas has ever been. I won’t compare bodies of work because there is none you are correct. But Banks flow on this is closer to a Pun or Eminem or Kool G maybe. Some people even saying Em might have have wrote. But if you have listened to Banks 3 last mixtapes you would you would say. The same thing.

Wow!!! Banks laid the chalk, dug the hole, built the coffin, gave the eulogy, and lowered that sucker into the ground. That track was insane… It’s been a while since I heard Ether, but I have a feeling I’d have to say this is better… Yeah, Ross is done. 50 and the crew should just leave it at that… He will hit the law of diminishing returns…

LMAO @ Post #62 that horrible track was nowhere near a Ether I cant believe you just said that. That track was an average at best diss track he had a few good punch lines but come on now Banks is trash. Dont compare and body of work by Banks with NAS
