Cole World: The Sideline Story is officially out worldwide today! So in usual promotion form, J. Cole’s been hitting all media outlets this week to promote his debut album. Earlier this afternoon J. Cole stopped by Hot 97 and The Angie Martinez Show to talk about this special day, his hometown, rumors, beef, and more.
*Sources tell us Cole World is already projecting to sell over 100K copies, which is pretty damn impressive, since it dropped less than 24 hours ago.

He also shares his aspiration to be a production mogul akin to Timbaland, and why he thinks he’s already competing in the same league as Jay-Z and Kanye West.

i think j cole is still growing, i think around his 3rd album hes gonna be really killing it.

Heard the mixtapes outshined the album. Guess its a good time to listen to the album and see if he lives up to the standards of his mixtape material

3 mics out of 5. not bad. and i agree with the notion that his mixtapes were better but only cause conceptually they were more broad. most his songs were aimed towards his female audience on his album, not that it makes it any less lack luster;but to not incorporate his story (like his mixtapes did) into the album for new fans seemed odd. I liked his mixtape recipe better for sure

yea i think reason y mix tapes are sometimes better cause now a days the labels wont let u put certian songs on the album,its like if your song is hot it ant going on the album lol
